Who is invited?
All Broughal students and staff are welcome to visit and use our MakerSpaces!

What is a MakerSpace and what can we do there?
mak·er·space
/ˈmākərˌspās/
noun
a place in which people with shared interests, especially in computing or technology, can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge.

Where?
Broughal encourages a Maker attitude throughout our school. The library and Room 356 are filled with many materials that can be shared. Stop by and see what we have to offer! We welcome new ideas and suggestions!

Why?
Broughal was designed to give students hands-on access to learn Science, Technology, Engineering and Math or STEM concepts. The ideas of a MakerSpace fit this design beautifully.

When?
Students are welcome to use our MakerSpace after school, and whenever their teachers bring classes or send students with passes.

Here are some of our projects:

January 2023 Dabbling in Jewelry
We started by making bracelets with beads and exploring friendship bracelets.

February 2023 Book Project
Stay tuned to see our monsters!
