Mr. Garin’s Skepticism & Logic class participated in the 7th annual “Partnership for Global Inclusion” with Moravian College’s Dr. Rehab (Rubie) Ghazai and several Saudi Arabian students who attend Moravian as well. Garin’s students met with the visitors from Moravian and engaged in cultural lessons, food, stories, cultural presentations and other festivities. The Liberty students were given the opportunity to question their visitors and learn about another, often misunderstood culture. The simple question & answer sessions cross the bounds of the cultural divide, giving Liberty’s students the chance to eliminate their “Myths of Prejudice” and realize that the visiting Saudi students are quite simply just like them!
