AN EVENING OF THE ARTS Friday, April 26th.
- 5:30-7:00 Art show opens in Art Gallery (2nd floor)
- 6:00-6:30 Liberty Jam’s (our school rock band) takes the stage (Front patio weather dependent)
- 7:00 *Choir & Orchestra Spring Concert (Auditorium) *Ticketed Event
Class dues collection will happen on Wednesdays after school during prom ticket sales through the month of April outside of room 038. Cash or checks made payable to “Class of 2024” will be accepted.
College Fair – The LHS Counseling Department is hosting their annual College Fair on Wednesday, April 24th from 8:30-10:30am in the Memorial Gym. There will be over 80 colleges and trade schools there . Register in advance for the fair through Strive Scan to quickly and easily share your information with colleges.
College Planning Night – The LHS Guidance Department is pleased to again host the annual College Planning Night for both 10th and 11th grade parents/guardians and students. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 24th beginning promptly at 6:30 PM in the LHS Auditorium, There is no RSVP for this event and a list of presenters will be available on arrival.
We hope to see you all at this worthwhile event!
PROM Tickets for sale After school in the Cafeteria Next week is the last week tickets will be for sale! Tuesday April 23 and Wednesday April 24. No tickets will be sold after April 24, so plan accordingly. Your class dues must be paid in order to purchase tickets. Please check your BASD email for all of the Prom details and information. See Miss Michael with any questions.

- The class-selected graduation speaker application is due by Friday, 4/19 at 3:00 PM. to Ms. Corrigan (scorrigan@basdschools.org) Applications are available on Liberty’s website.
- Any senior interested in signing the National Anthem at graduation should see Mrs. Fedorak in room 212.
Special Olympic Volunteers There will be a mandatory Special Olympic Volunteer meeting on Wednesday May 1st in the auditorium.

- AM Vo-tech volunteers will report to room 505 at 2:20
ONLY students who have handed in their form and money are permitted to attend. Students will be receiving their shirts and instructions for the Special Olympic event taking place on Thursday May 2nd in the BASD stadium.
ATHLETICS
Clubs & Organizations
Cheerleading tryouts for the 2024-2025 season will be held on April 15th – April 19th from 6PM – 7:30PM in the gymnasium. A tryout packet must be picked up in the Athletic Office and completed/returned to Coach Kristin on the first night of open gyms. You must register for tryouts no later than April 12th. Tryouts are open to any incoming or current Liberty High School students. Follow the cheerleading account on Instagram for important announcements and updates: @libertyhurricanes_cheer!

The Information Services Department is looking for approximately seven high schoolstudents from each high school to assist with summer work.
Students will receive real-world technology experience in the following areas:
- Students will be assigned to a team and work primarily with one of the team members who works year-round. Each team is assigned to a school or group of schools within the district. This opportunity pays $10.00/hour.
To take part in this opportunity, students need to meet the following criteria:

- In Junior or Senior year of high school for the 2024-2025 school year
- Have a valid work permit
- Have a valid PA Driver’s License and car or otherwise be able to provide your own transportation to and from work daily.
- Work from June 10, 2024, through August 20, 2023, Monday through Friday, and either 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with an hour lunch (pre-planned commitments/vacations will be taken into consideration).
- Present a resume for review and be prepared to sit for an interview. Resume review and interviews will be conducted by staff of the Information Services Department.
- Be motivated, willing to learn, dependable, follow directions, and have a willingness to complete a variety of tasks.
- Be able to climb a ladder and work at heights above ground level.
