Dear Parents & Guardians,
I am just sending you a quick note to let you know that today’s walkout at Nitschmann went well. All students who chose to participate did so inside of our safe zone in the back of the school and were chaperoned by several teachers, staff, and Bethlehem City Police. For those who did not participate, classes went on as normal.
Thank you to all of the positive feedback & kind words many of you sent to me as we prepared for today’s event. As a parent myself, I think I would have appreciated a brief update from the principal that all is well and everything is back to normal today.
It is appropriate for us always to reflect on our safety practices when events like this occur. I would encourage you to use the attached link to share any ideas you would like our school team to review to improve safety of our school.
