1st Annual Liberty Fest to Benefit Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on May 11

Liberty High School students in the Bethlehem Sound and Liberty Jams clubs at the school are putting on their very first music festival on May 11 at BASD Stadium.

Liberty Fest is a special outdoor event  that is going to be a celebration of the strength of our community, our love of music and the arts, and our commitment to excellence in education for all students, and to unite to support a worthy cause. Join us for a family-friendly day of entertainment and excitement. Everyone is invited!

“A few years ago, student members of the Bethlehem Sound Club and Liberty Jams Club began to express their desire to create their own event, and to use their skills to raise money for a charity,” said Timothy Treweek, Liberty High School music production teacher, said.

“The initial idea was to have our band and one or two others play outside one night. Once we announced the festival, the response was incredible. In addition to some amazing teachers pooling their resources and efforts, we had local volunteers step up to support the event from both our student population and from professionals in the community. We will now be hosting two stages with live music throughout the day. Fundraising will be taking place to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Attendees can make a donation or purchase a Liberty Fest T-shirt to contribute to our fundraiser.”

Festivities will begin at 12:00pm and end at 10:00pm at Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA. Admission is free.
