The four BASD middle schools participated in the What’s So Cool About Manufacturing? video contest. The annual contests excite students to explore cool manufacturing careers and produce profiles of companies throughout Pennsylvania.

Four Re-Elected School Board Directors Sworn In

Four Bethlehem Area School District directors re-elected in November were sworn in during a December 4 reorganization meeting held at the district’s Education Center.

Directors Michael Faccinetto, Shannon Patrick, Rogelio Ortiz, and Angela Sinkler were sworn in to their new terms by Northampton County Court of Common Please President Judge Stephen G. Baratta.

Faccinetto and Patrick were renamed president and vice-president of the board.

Bethlehem Area School District Board Votes to Extend Health Benefits to Care Anywhere Online to Lower Costs

On January 23, 2017, the BASD school board voted to extend the current health benefits plan to include St. Luke’s Care Anywhere online doctor visits.

Beginning March 1, 2017, Bethlehem Area School District employees who are enrolled in the district’s health care plan will be able to access Care Anywhere, St. Luke’s telehealth service, as part of their medical benefits.
