Each flag will represent one veteran \u2013 and our unwavering commitment to serving all veterans after they&#8217;ve sacrificed so much for our country. All donations raise critical funds to support DAV\u2019s life-changing services for veterans in need and their families.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We will be having a competition for homerooms, and whichever homeroom raises the most money will win an ice cream social sponsored by NJHS. Members of NJHS will be around each Monday to pick up donations. If each person donates just a dollar or two, we will be able to fill the front lawn with flags on November 11th. Look for the coffee can in your homeroom to make your donation!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Also, we would like to recognize our Hometown Heroes who served in any branch of the armed services. You can send a picture via email to Dr. McDonald @<\/span><a href=\"mailto:tmcdonald@basdschools.org\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">tmcdonald@basdschools.org<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> or bring in a picture and we will make a copy of it to appear on the bulletin board in the main entryway.
