Coach Jason Roeder wasn’t satisfied with where his program stood.
Roeder told players and reporters the same thing — he wanted to compete for league titles in addition to challenging for district championships. The Patriots responded with the best season in school history.
Freedom captured a share of the EPC South title by winning its first seven division games. The Patriots then completed their championship journey in the District 11 Class 6A tournament, avenging a loss to Liberty, defeating playoff nemesis Parkland and knocking off Emmaus for the program’s first district title.
