This competition was tat 5th and final tournament competition for the year.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Alex Smith &#8211; Team Captain, Driver<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Raj Kundu &#8211; Chief Programmer<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Jack Hanson &#8211; Driver<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Kailin Seixas<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Aimee Candelario<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Zack Bingaman<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The team had a 6-0 record, winning all tournament competitions, and progressed to the finals, where in a rubber match, Liberty Robotics lost the tournament by a score of 83-80! As a finalist winner, however, the team won a spot at the State competition at Norristown HS,\u00a0in two weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/liberty\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2018\/02\/robotrophy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3049 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/liberty\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2018\/02\/robotrophy.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"286\" height=\"393\" srcset=\"https:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/liberty\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2018\/02\/robotrophy.jpg 650w, https:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/liberty\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2018\/02\/robotrophy-218x300.jpg 218w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 286px) 100vw, 286px\" \/><\/a>The team also won the prestigious and coveted &#8220;Excellence Award&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">The Vex Excellence Award is the highest award presented in the VEX Robotics Competition. This award is presented to a team that exemplifies overall excellence in creating a high quality VEX Robotics program. This team is a strong contender in numerous award categories. Excellence winners must have a superior engineering notebook.
