Dear Students, Parents, & Guardians of Nitschmann Middle School,

Dr. Roy sent a message to you that the Bethlehem Area School District will be moving to short-term remote learning from December 14-22, 2020 and January 4-8, 2021. We will remain on the same, normal hybrid schedule for the next two days on December 10 & 11, 2020.

I have prepared a video for you and your child to watch about this program change starting on Monday, December 14, 2020. I think this is critical for you and your child to view this video.

It is important that all students (hybrid & e-Classroom) will participate in the SAME schedule during short-term remote learning period, attending live, synchronous classes on the days assigned using the schedule attached to this email.

ALL STUDENTS A-L (hybrid & e-Classroom) will attend Zooms all day on Tuesdays & Thursday. There will be a homeroom period on December 15, 2020 for your child at 8am. Students should get the Zoom link in their Citizenship course on Schoology. All students are expected to attend.

ALL STUDENTS M-Z (hybrid & e-Classroom) will attend Zooms all day on Wednesday and Friday. There will be a homeroom period on December 16, 2020 for your child at 8am. Students should get the Zoom link in their Citizenship course on Schoology. All students are expected to attend.

Dr. Mayes is also holding a Q&A Webinar on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 7pm. You can register here to view the webinar. Webinar Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_QCmWpLM1QEWuLV4U1HXVfQ

Our NMS student services and main offices will remain open 7:30am to 3:30pm to help you with anything you need from our school.

Please contact your child’s teacher for more information about their courses. Alert your child’s guidance counselor for any concerns for your child’s mental health or services. Please contact Mr. Horlick or myself for any additional help.

Thank you.
