Core & Encore Team Updates

Team Lafayette (6th) (Twitter @NMSLafayette Team Leader Mrs. Hackman)   Report cards went out last week, and we need to have the paper copies of the report cards signed and returned.  Congratulations to all of our Honor Roll students!   There are so many things going on in the world right now, and we are so proud of the students who have found a way to be at their best.   Any issues that we can help the kids with, we are ready to give our support.  If you need us, reach out to us so we can set up something to help students find more successes with their learning.  Lastly, if there are any supplies that may have dwindled throughout the first semester, replenish them so the kids are ready to attack the second semester with the same excitement and energy they had at the start of the year

Team Lehigh (6th) (Twitter @NMSTeamLehigh/ Facebook @NitschmannTeamLehigh Team Leader Mrs. Oliver

As we entered the third quarter with a snow storm, several virtual days and late starts, we noticed that many kids fell behind on their work already.  For those that are struggling to get work done at home, we can arrange for them to come in before and/or after school on their at school days to give them extra time to get their assignments complete.. Please let us know if you would like your child to take advantage of this opportunity. In addition the NJHS will be offering after school tutoring in rooms 303 and 305 this Tuesday 2/16 and Wednesday 2/17 from 3:00 to 3:30.  They will also be offering  zoom sessions those days at 10:30. Use the following links:

Tuesday: https://zoom.us/j/99108735074?pwd=ZHVuSHlDUlRLOExQVXhuWC9vMXpidz09

Wednesday:  https://zoom.us/j/98677655326?pwd=VHlnNlpvWGprNi9uY29nZW9RRWNEQT09

Starting this week we will be issuing detentions to  students who we see are continuously not getting their work completed

Very important message from last week’s in case you missed it:

Communication Is Crucial! One of the keys to success for your child is communication; not only between us and the students but also between us and the parents. With the volume of students we have, our main source of communication is via email.  We send frequent emails to both students and parents to update you on what is going on, notify you of missing assignments and/or low grades, commend students for good work, and to offer optional help/zooms. Several things you can do to improve communication: 1) Be sure your son/daughter is checking their school email daily; 2) be sure that we have correct email addresses on file for you, and 3) have our email addresses marked that they do not go to spam or junk mail (we often send bulk emails and if our address are not marked they may go to spam). Our email addresses are (joliver@basdschools.org ,shriniak@basdschools.org, adruckenmiller@basdschools.org and jfritzinger@basdschools.org )
