<\/b>BASD PROUD:\u00a0We have decided to display BASD spirit across the Lehigh Valley with #BASDproud car magnets.\u00a0 Our goal is for parents, students, teachers and staff to make a visible statement of support by displaying the magnets on their cars.\u00a0Magnets can be purchased for $2 at the main office of each of our schools as well as at the Ed Center.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ART:\u00a0<\/span>All 8th graders who still have not picked up their paper mache shark from Mrs. Klose’s art room, please do so this week. Thanks to all of you who stopped by for them yesterday afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n

MUSIC IN THE PARKS TRIP:\u00a0Northeast Singers students who are not instrumentalists are to pick up their fundraising information from Mrs. Parker ASAP.\u00a0 This fundraising will help towards this year’s Music in the Parks competition.<\/span><\/p>\n

SALUTE THE TROOPS CONCERT: All NE Singers, Boys Group, Girls Group, and instrumental students performing in the Salute the Troops Concert on\u00a0November 13th\u00a0are reminded to pick up a ticket order form ASAP.\u00a0 The ticket order form, paid with cash only, please, is due on\u00a0November 3rd. Our reduced price is $5 per ticket.\u00a0 If you purchase these tickets at the door the day of the concert, they will be $10.\u00a0 Don’t forget to get your order form submitted!\u00a0 See either Mr. Rupnik or Mrs. Parker with any questions. <\/span><\/p>\n

NEMS THEATRE COMPANY: Congratulations and thanks to the 80 students who auditioned for this year’s musical Music Man Jr.\u00a0 Your talents make us all Northeast Proud!\u00a0 Our first rehearsal will be on\u00a0Monday, October 31st\u00a0from\u00a03:10 until 5:30\u00a0in the chorus room. This will be a read through of the entire musical…see you then! \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

*Friday, November 4th\u00a0– rehearsal of the song “Rock Island” from\u00a0Music Man Jr<\/i>. Students who are in that song are to rehearse from\u00a03:10-3:45\u00a0in the chorus room.<\/p>\n

MATH NERDS:\u00a0<\/span>Do you enjoy brainteasers?\u00a0 Would you like to make words like quirkle, rebus, saduko, q-bits and swish part of your every day conversations?\u00a0<\/span>Then join math nerds and brain bashers.\u00a0 Math Nerds and Brain Bashers is an interactive club that meets every Wednesday\u00a0from\u00a03:05-4:25pm\u00a0in Room A305.<\/span><\/p>\n

NEWSPAPER CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>Due to the newspaper club meeting being cancelled yesterday, all submissions for the first issue of the newspaper will be due on\u00a0Friday November 4th. Please email or see Ms. Troutman in A303 for more information or if you have any questions.”<\/span><\/p>\n

SPORTS:\u00a0<\/span>Cross Country runners who have yet to hand in uniform should return it to Miss Ayre\u2019s room A203 asap.\u00a0 Thanks.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Any field hockey or volleyball player that has not returned their uniform please bring it to Ms. Shive’s, A305 as soon as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

*St. Luke’s Middle School Fitness Program sign up sheets are in the main office and student services. The Kick Off Meeting will be Wednesday, November 2ndafter school in the cafeteria. If you like kickball and ultimate frisbee, this program is for you.<\/p>\n

*Free physicals for winter sports will be given at Freedom High School on Wednesday, November 2nd from 5 – 7:30 PM, and at Liberty High School on Thursday, November 3rd from 5 – 7:30 PM. Get a physical packet from a basketball coach or the main office before you go. You may not try out without a physical.<\/p>\n

SCHOOL SPIRIT WEEK: <\/span>With the night football game rapidly approaching, it only means one thing, “Spirit Week!” \u00a0Spirit Week will take place next week!\u00a0 The following are the special days:<\/span><\/p>\n

-Monday\u00a0– Costume Day – since Monday is Halloween, wear your favorite costume.\u00a0 No props, masks or excessive face paint! \u00a0 Keep in mind this is a “School Activity!”<\/span><\/p>\n

-Tuesday\u00a0– Sport Team Day – show your team colors whether it is a middle school, high school, college or pro team, get out your gear!<\/span><\/p>\n

-Wednesday\u00a0– back by popular demand Pajama Day!\u00a0 Wear your favorite pajamas, but don’t fall asleep in class!<\/span><\/p>\n

-Thursday\u00a0– Green and White Day to support our team, cheerleaders, band, auxiliary marching unit and fans!<\/span><\/p>\n

Don’t be left out, get involved!<\/span><\/p>\n

STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL:\u00a0<\/span>Student Leadership Council will be holding a\u00a0<\/span>teacher <\/b>costume contest on\u00a0Monday October 31<\/span>st<\/span>. Students will be able to vote during their school lunches for their favorite teacher costume for 25 cents. Teachers\/staff, please email Ms. Swavely to be entered into the contest. The winner of the best costume contest will win a prize!
