<\/b>NEMS THEATRE COMPANY:\u00a0Today, November 4th\u00a0– rehearsal of the song “Rock Island” from\u00a0<\/span>Music Man Jr<\/span><\/i>. Students who are in that song are to rehearse from\u00a03:10-3:45\u00a0in the chorus room. There will be a rehearsal today for Marian Paroo, Mrs. Paroo, Winthrop, and Amaryllis from\u00a03:10 until 4 PM. Please meet in the chorus room. Please bring your scripts!\u00a0 See Mrs. Parker with any questions.<\/span><\/p>\n

MATH NERDS:\u00a0<\/span>Math Nerds is moving back to Fridays.\u00a0 If you want to join math nerds please come\u00a0this Friday\u00a0at\u00a03:05pm\u00a0in room A305.\u00a0 We will no longer meet on Wednesdays because of all of the scheduling conflicts with other clubs and events.\u00a0<\/span>Having Math Nerds on a\u00a0Friday\u00a0has been a Northeast tradition and it\u2019s back by popular demand.\u00a0 You do not have to like math to join, you just need to be willing to try something new.\u00a0 We guarantee you will be hooked after your first meeting.\u00a0<\/span>Permission slips will be given out\u00a0on Friday. FOOTBALL: Even a late afternoon downpour didn’t dampen our Northeast Spirit last night!\u00a0 Our football team, cheerleaders, band, auxiliary marching unit and fans showed up to demonstrate as usual our Northeast Pride!\u00a0 Thanks to all who helped make our night game at the stadium a Northeast PROUD evening!<\/p>\n

BOYS BASKETBALL: 8th grade boy’s basketball.\u00a0 There will be an open gym for the 8th grade boys ONLY today from\u00a03:15 to 4:30pm.\u00a0 This is for 8th grade only.\u00a0 A 7th grade open gym will be announced the following week.\u00a0 See Coach Carlstrom in room D106 if you have any questions.<\/span><\/p>\n

WRESTLING: Wrestling practices start\u00a0Friday Nov. 18<\/span>th<\/span> at Liberty HS. <\/span><\/p>\n

STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL:\u00a0<\/span>Box-Tops are still being collected and Student Leadership will be having a raffle starting today through Christmas. To be able to enter the drawing, you need to bring in a complete sheet or bag of 50 Box-Tops. Don\u2019t forget to put your name on the bag or sheet. Remember, the Box-Tops shouldn\u2019t be stapled or taped on the back of the sheet. Also, hand in bonus Box-Tops in a separate bag. Thank you\u00a0from Student Leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n

WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>The next meeting will be Thursday\u00a0Nov 10 AND Friday Nov 11th\u00a0in the Auditorium at\u00a03:05-4:25pm. See Mrs. Johnson, Miss Thomas, or Miss Danner with questions! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ELECTION:\u00a0Teachers, due to an issue with the program we were using for voting, we will need to recast votes for our mock election. Please watch for an e-mail this morning with new instructions for voting.\u00a0Students, your teachers will give you time to vote for our school election in class. Yesterday we learned what campaigning is really like from Former City Councilman Willie Reynolds. From today forward you will be able to vote on who you think should be our president.\u00a0Monday\u00a0you will find out who won the school wide election and\u00a0on Wednesday\u00a0we will announce and compare our results to the national ones. Have a great day and choose wisely.<\/span><\/p>\n
