DROP OFF TABLE:\u00a0<\/span>Student Services has a drop off table.\u00a0 If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up.\u00a0 Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass.\u00a0 If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BOXTOPS:\u00a0<\/span>Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for\u00a0education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Swavely or Mrs. Braido and Student Leadership will take care of the rest.<\/span><\/p>\n

DISMISSAL:\u00a0<\/span>Students please note that you are not permitted to remain in the building after dismissal unless you are involved in an activity. If you are waiting for a friend, please wait outside of the building.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SAFE TO TELL:\u00a0<\/span>It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner\u00a0<\/span>to help remove any and all barriers\u00a0to education.\u00a0 You can refer your friends or yourself.\u00a0 Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.\u00a0 Don’t worry, “It’s Safe To Tell.<\/span><\/p>\n

STEP TEAM:\u00a0<\/span>Step team will practice on every Tuesday and Thursday from\u00a03:05-4:15pm. \u00a0Remember boots or sneakers and your permission form.<\/span><\/p>\n

INSTRUMENTAL LESSONS:\u00a0<\/span>All instrumentals lessons will be canceled <\/span>for today.<\/span><\/p>\n

WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>The next meeting of the world language club will be\u00a0Thursday Nov 10 AND Friday Nov 11th\u00a0in the Auditorium at\u00a03:05-4:25pm. See Mrs. Johnson, Miss Thomas, or Miss Danner with questions! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

LHS BENEFIT CONCERT FOR BAND & CHORUS:\u00a0Thanks to all of the students, parents, and NE staff who made the LHS Benefit Concert such a success this past Saturday It was incredible to see the talent that is in our school district.\u00a0 Thank you, Jazz Ensemble and NE Singers for the preparation, dedication, and flexibility throughout these past weeks. Special thanks to Sam Graybeal, Christina Stolnik, and Jaden Rivera…your performances were absolutely awesome!\u00a0 All of the people who were a part of the event make us all Northeast PROUD!<\/span><\/p>\n

MATH NERDS:\u00a0<\/span>Math Nerds is moving back to Fridays.\u00a0 If you want to join math nerds please come\u00a0this Friday\u00a0at\u00a03:05pm\u00a0in room A305.\u00a0 We will no longer meet on Wednesdays because of all of the scheduling conflicts with other clubs and events.\u00a0<\/span>Having Math Nerds on a\u00a0Friday\u00a0has been a Northeast tradition and it\u2019s back by popular demand.\u00a0 You do not have to like math to join, you just need to be willing to try something new.\u00a0 We guarantee you will be hooked after your first meeting.\u00a0<\/span>Permission slips will be given out\u00a0on Friday. GIRLS BASKETBALL: Attention 7th and 8th grade GIRLS interested in trying out for the Girls Basketball Team, there will be Open Gym opportunities on\u00a0November 10<\/span>th<\/span> from 3:15-4:15pm\u00a0(Auxiliary Gym) and November 11th\u00a0from\u00a03:15-4:15\u00a0(Main Gym) This is your chance to dust off the cobwebs and prep your skills for tryouts!!\u00a0<\/span>REMINDER: make sure you have physicals and forms COMPLETELY filled out and returned to Ms Schaffrick… YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO TRYOUT if you do NOT turn in the forms! <\/span>Please see Ms. Schaffrick if you have any questions!<\/span><\/p>\n

STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL:\u00a0<\/span>Box-Tops are still being collected and Student Leadership will be having a raffle starting today through Christmas. To be able to enter the drawing, you need to bring in a complete sheet or bag of 50 Box-Tops. Don\u2019t forget to put your name on the bag or sheet. Remember, the Box-Tops shouldn\u2019t be stapled or taped on the back of the sheet. Also, hand in bonus Box-Tops in a separate bag. Thank you\u00a0from Student Leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n

BOOK FAIR:\u00a0<\/span>The Book Fair is back. You will be able to check it out and make purchases starting\u00a0Monday November 14<\/span>th<\/span> through student led conferences until\u00a0Tuesday November 22nd\u00a0in Mrs. Roehrenbeck’s room A300. Stay tuned for a closer look at the titles and more information about our upcoming book fair!<\/span><\/p>\n

ELECTION:\u00a0<\/span>Good morning Northeast, The results are in! After your contribution as a voter, we have calculated the percentages of each candidate and the winner of our school wide election is Secretary Hillary Clinton with 66.6% of your vote. The runner up was Mr. Donald J. Trump with 20.9% of the school population voting for him.\u00a0 Governor Gary Johnson had 9% and Dr. Jill Stein had 3.3% Thank you all very much for voting and make sure to tune in\u00a0tomorrow\u00a0to find out who the leader of our country will be for the next 4 to 8 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

THANKSGIVING COLLECTION:\u00a0<\/span>Each year Student Leadership, the counselors, and the office staff work together to gather food items to supply families here with a complete holiday dinner.\u00a0 Our collection will run Monday until\u00a0November 18th.\u00a0\u00a0Every homeroom that has a completed basket will be entered into a drawing for a prize.\u00a0 Remember, all completed baskets go directly back to our students and families here at Northeast.\u00a0Please encourage your homeroom to contribute, and feel free to reward them with hornet 5\u2019s!\u00a0<\/span>Any extra canned goods collected will be donated to the local food bank. I\u2019ll be dropping off collection boxes to each homeroom this week. THANK YOU See Swavely, Braido or Nehilla with questions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

RALLY 4 PEACE:\u00a0<\/span>Many of our Northeast students created pavers for the International Day of Peace. We haven’t forgotten to select some saying to have engraved on real pavers. Our Rally 4 Peace participants are busy creating their presentations\u00a0and will be part of the selection committee once their work is completed. Our plan is to announce the selected slogans in January, during the Week of Peace. We apologize for not clarifying this earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n

PICTURE RETAKE:\u00a0<\/span>Picture retakes are scheduled for the morning of\u00a0Friday, November 11, 2016.\u00a0Retakes will be for students and staff members that were\u00a0absent on picture day or\u00a0for those that are\u00a0not happy with their picture package.\u00a0 If you are retaking your picture to\u00a0replace your\u00a0original picture\u00a0package, please make sure\u00a0to bring with you on\u00a0Friday, Nov 11<\/span>th<\/span> the original picture package you would like replaced.\u00a0<\/span>Should you have any questions or need an order form, please see Ms. Osorio in Student Services.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ARCHERY:\u00a0<\/span>Attention all archers!\u00a0 Please have your $3 to Mrs. Papagni by\u00a0Wednesday the 9th\u00a0for our pizza party.\u00a0 Our party for all three teams will be\u00a0on Thursday the 10th\u00a0right after school in Mrs. Shive\u2019s room A305.\u00a0 Mrs. Papagni and Mrs. Shook would also like to with our 6th grade beginner team on their first tournament today after school.
