<\/b>WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>Meeting today Nov 11<\/span>th<\/span> in the Auditorium at\u00a03:05-4:25pm. See Mrs. Johnson, Miss Thomas, or Miss Danner with questions! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ROBOTICS CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>There will be a general interest meeting this\u00a0Monday November 14th\u00a0for any student interested in joining robotics club.\u00a0 Permission slips will be given out at the November 14th meeting.\u00a0 \u00a0Robotics club will meet on Thursdays from 3:05-5:00pm starting on\u00a0November 17th.\u00a0 Space is extremely limited and permission slips will only be given out at\u00a0Monday\u2019s\u00a0meeting.\u00a0 Please see Mr. Patterson or Mrs. Papagni if you have any questions regarding the club.<\/span><\/p>\n

AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: Rehearsals:<\/p>\n

*Sunday, November 13th\u00a0– report time to NE for the Salute the Troops concert is1:15 PM, concert begins at\u00a03:00 PM<\/span><\/p>\n

NEMS THEATRE COMPANY: Cast of Music Man Jr…mark your calendars…we will have our first\u00a0Saturday rehearsal on\u00a0November 19th.\u00a0 We will approach the rehearsal time differently, so, please mark your planners accordingly:<\/span><\/p>\n

STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL:\u00a0<\/span>Box-Tops are still being collected and Student Leadership will be having a raffle starting today through Christmas. To be able to enter the drawing, you need to bring in a complete sheet or bag of 50 Box-Tops. Don\u2019t forget to put your name on the bag or sheet. Remember, the Box-Tops shouldn\u2019t be stapled or taped on the back of the sheet. Also, hand in bonus Box-Tops in a separate bag. Thank you\u00a0from Student Leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n

THANKSGIVING COLLECTION:\u00a0<\/span>Each year Student Leadership, the counselors, and the office staff work together to gather food items to supply families here with a complete holiday dinner.\u00a0 Our collection will run\u00a0Monday\u00a0until\u00a0November 18th.\u00a0\u00a0Every homeroom that has a completed basket will be entered into a drawing for a prize.\u00a0 Remember, all completed baskets go directly back to our students and families here at Northeast.\u00a0<\/span>Please encourage your homeroom to contribute, and feel free to reward them with hornet 5\u2019s!\u00a0<\/span>Any extra canned goods collected will be donated to the local food bank. BOOK FAIR:\u00a0<\/span>The Book Fair is back. You will be able to check it out and make purchases starting\u00a0Monday November 14th\u00a0through student led conferences until\u00a0Tuesday November 22nd\u00a0in Mrs. Roehrenbeck’s room A300. RALLY 4 PEACE:\u00a0<\/span>Many of our Northeast students created pavers for the International Day of Peace. We haven’t forgotten to select some saying to have engraved on real pavers. Our Rally 4 Peace participants are busy creating their presentations\u00a0and will be part of the selection committee once their work is completed. Our plan is to announce the selected slogans in January, during the Week of Peace. We apologize for not clarifying this earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:\u00a0<\/span>Some people say:\u00a0<\/span>Love is the glue that holds the universe together.\u00a0<\/em>We know that glue binds things together, right? And if you think about it, so does love. Think of the person you love most in the world. Don\u2019t you feel very bonded to that person… connected?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So, if love is like a glue that connects and binds, what do you think hate does? Hate separates. It nation from nation, people from people. It can even separate you into tiny pieces. You can\u2019t be a whole and healthy person and be filled with hate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But wait! You don\u2019t have to go to pieces! You can let go of those hateful feelings. Find someone you love and trust, and talk about it. We have great counselors (teachers) who can help.
