SPORTS:\u00a0Wrestling practices start\u00a0Friday Nov. 18th<\/sup> at Liberty HS.<\/p>\n

WORLD PERCUSSION:\u00a0Do not forget that there is mandatory practice after school today. Our concert is in less than a month! See you then!<\/p>\n

ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE CLUB:\u00a0Could you survive a zombie apocalypse?\u00a0 There is only one-way to find out – join the survive the zombie apocalypse club.\u00a0We will be holding a general interest meeting on\u00a0Wednesday 11\/30\u00a0in room A305.\u00a0 Permission slips and information will be given out at the meeting.\u00a0 The club will be held on Tuesdays starting\u00a0December 6th<\/sup> from\u00a03:05-4:25pm.\u00a0 Those who arrive survive. See Mrs. Papagni or Mr. Speaker if you have any questions.<\/p>\n

BOOK FAIR:\u00a0The Book Fair is back. You will be able to check it out and make purchases now\u00a0through student led conferences until\u00a0Tuesday November 22nd\u00a0in Mrs. Roehrenbeck’s room A300. Stay tuned for a closer look at the titles and more information about our upcoming book fair!<\/p>\n

STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL:\u00a0Box-Tops are still being collected and Student Leadership will be having a raffle through Christmas. To be able to enter the drawing, you need to bring in a complete sheet or bag of 50 Box-Tops. Don\u2019t forget to put your name on the bag or sheet. Remember, the Box-Tops shouldn\u2019t be stapled or taped on the back of the sheet. Also, hand in bonus Box-Tops in a separate bag. Thank you\u00a0from Student Leadership.<\/p>\n

RALLY 4 PEACE:\u00a0Many of our Northeast students created pavers for the International Day of Peace. We haven’t forgotten to select some saying to have engraved on real pavers. Our Rally 4 Peace participants are busy creating their presentations\u00a0and will be part of the selection committee once their work is completed. Our plan is to announce the selected slogans in January, during the Week of Peace. We apologize for not clarifying this earlier.<\/p>\n

KEEPING KIDS WARM:\u00a0Through November 21st, the Bethlehem Police\u00a0Dept\u00a0will be collecting new and gently used Coats.\u00a0 The donated coats will be distributed to students at Northeast Middle School and the Bethlehem Area School District.\u00a0 People who wish to donate coats can bring them to Student Services. Distribution of the coats will take place on Nov 21st and 22nd during parent\/teacher conference. Anybody who is in need of a coat please contact your guidance counselor.<\/p>\n

ROBOTICS CLUB:\u00a0There is still space available in the Robotics Club.\u00a0 If you missed the interest meeting but would still like to join robotics please see Mrs. Papagni in B305 or Mr. Patterson in A309 for a permission slip.\u00a0 Robotics will meet Thursdays from\u00a03:05-5pm. Come build robots with us.<\/p>\n

THANKSGIVING COLLECTION:\u00a0Each year Student Leadership, the counselors, and the office staff work together to gather food items to supply families here with a complete holiday dinner.\u00a0 Our collection will run\u00a0Monday\u00a0until\u00a0November 18th.\u00a0\u00a0Every homeroom that has a completed basket will be entered into a drawing for a prize.\u00a0 Remember, all completed baskets go directly back to our students and families here at Northeast.\u00a0Please encourage your homeroom to contribute, and feel free to reward them with hornet 5\u2019s!\u00a0Any extra canned goods collected will be donated to the local food bank. I\u2019ll be dropping off collection boxes to each homeroom this week. THANK YOU See Swavely, Braido or Nehilla with questions.<\/p>\n

AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: Rehearsals:<\/p>\n

*Thursday, November 17th\u00a0– NE Singers – all from\u00a03:10-4pm<\/p>\n

*Friday, November 18th\u00a0– NE Singers, 8th grade only, to perform at Donegan Elementary School<\/p>\n

*Monday, November 21st\u00a0– no rehearsal – half day<\/p>\n

*Tuesday, November 22nd\u00a0– no rehearsal – half day<\/p>\n

NEMS THEATRE COMPANY: Cast of Music Man Jr…mark your calendars…we will have our first\u00a0Saturday\u00a0rehearsal on\u00a0November 19th.\u00a0 We will approach the rehearsal time differently, so, please mark your planners accordingly:<\/p>\n

From\u00a09-10 AM\u00a0we will work with people in\u00a0Scene 1 (pages 1-9 of the script) and Scene 4 (pages 27-37 of the script)<\/p>\n

BAND & VOCAL STUDENTS: Thank you to the music students who participated in both the Salute the Troops and Liberty High School concerts in November…your talents and dedication make us all NORTHEAST PROUD!\u00a0 As a thank you, please join us for some cake, celebration, and conversation on Monday, November 21st from\u00a011:30 until noon, in the chorus room. Please be sure that, if you are going to join us, your family knows how you are going to get home from school…remember…Monday\u00a0is a half day. \u00a0Thank you Boys Group, Jazz Ensemble, Girls Group, select Salute the Troops band students, and Northeast Singers for your talent.\u00a0 See you\u00a0on Monday!<\/p>\n
