ART COMPETITION:\u00a0There is a artist competition beginning today. If you are creative and enjoy drawing Northeast step team needs you. Northeast step team would like you to create a design for our T-shirt this year. Please draw your design and turn it into Ms. Bauder by\u00a0December 14th.\u00a0 The team will select their favorite design.\u00a0The winner of the competition will have their artwork on our T-shirt and will receive a free\u00a0T-shirt as well. Any questions please see Ms. Bauder.<\/span><\/p>\n

MATH NERDS:\u00a0<\/span>Be a nerd and join us in room A305 on Fridays.<\/span><\/p>\n

SPORTS:\u00a0<\/span>Wrestling practices start\u00a0Friday Nov. 18<\/span>th<\/span> at Liberty HS. <\/span><\/p>\n

DEBATE CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>The next debate club meeting will be held\u00a0December 6th\u00a0after school in room A105. Please plan on being there. Any questions see Mr. Gross or Mrs. Schenk.<\/span><\/p>\n

SUPERHERO RESEARCH CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>Please see Mr. Spieker and give him $2 either today or\u00a0Monday\u00a0or\u00a0Tuesday. There will be a pizza party on the last day of Super Hero Research Club on\u00a0Dec. 1st. Again, give Mr. Spieker $2 as soon as you can.<\/span><\/p>\n

ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE CLUB:\u00a0Could you survive a zombie apocalypse?\u00a0 There is only one way to find out- join the survive the zombie apocalypse club.We will be holding a general interest meeting on\u00a0Wednesday 11\/30\u00a0in room A305.\u00a0 Permission slips and information will be given out at the meeting.\u00a0 The club will be held on Tuesdays starting\u00a0December 6th\u00a0from\u00a03:05-4:25.\u00a0 Those who arrive survive. See Mrs. Papagni or Mr. Speaker if you have any questions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BOOK FAIR:\u00a0<\/span>The Book Fair is back. You will be able to check it out and make purchases now\u00a0through student led conferences until\u00a0Tuesday November 22nd\u00a0in Mrs. Roehrenbeck’s room A300. Stay tuned for a closer look at the titles and more information about our upcoming book fair!<\/span><\/p>\n

STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL:\u00a0<\/span>Box-Tops are still being collected and Student Leadership will be having a raffle through Christmas. To be able to enter the drawing, you need to bring in a complete sheet or bag of 50 Box-Tops. Don\u2019t forget to put your name on the bag or sheet. Remember, the Box-Tops shouldn\u2019t be stapled or taped on the back of the sheet. Also, hand in bonus Box-Tops in a separate bag. Thank you\u00a0from Student Leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n

RALLY 4 PEACE:\u00a0<\/span>Many of our Northeast students created pavers for the International Day of Peace. We haven’t forgotten to select some saying to have engraved on real pavers. Our Rally 4 Peace participants are busy creating their presentations\u00a0and will be part of the selection committee once their work is completed. Our plan is to announce the selected slogans in January, during the Week of Peace. We apologize for not clarifying this earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n

KEEPING KIDS WARM:\u00a0It’s your last chance! This weekend, clean out those closets! Donate your hats, coats, scarves and gloves that you don’t need anymore.\u00a0Monday\u00a0morning is the last day for the collection! All donations will go to our NE families or to other local families. We will have a table set up in the cafeteria with all the donated items. Stop by during conferences if you or your family need any of these things. We need your help! Don’t forget and donate\u00a0on Monday!<\/span><\/p>\n

BAND & VOCAL STUDENTS: Thank you to the music students who participated in both the Salute the Troops and Liberty High School concerts in November…your talents and dedication make us all NORTHEAST PROUD!\u00a0 As a thank you, please join us for some cake, celebration, and conversation on Monday, November 21st from\u00a011:30 until noon, in the chorus room. Please be sure that, if you are going to join us, your family knows how you are going to get home from school…remember…Monday\u00a0is a half day. \u00a0<\/span>Thank you Boys Group, Jazz Ensemble, Girls Group, select Salute the Troops band students, and Northeast Singers for your talent.\u00a0 See you\u00a0on Monday!<\/span><\/p>\n
