*Thursday, January 19, 2017 All cast – singing rehearsal from\u00a03:10-5:00pm<\/span><\/p>\n

*Saturday, January 21, 2017\u00a09-10am: scene 10, p. 102-110 10-12pm: ALL CAST MEMBERS (beginning and end of scene 10 – chase)<\/span> \u00a0<\/span>Please make sure that you are dressed to move…sneakers and comfortable clothing.<\/span><\/p>\n

PEACE WEEK:<\/span><\/p>\n

*Tuesday the 17th-\u00a0Pajama Day! Warm up to a new friend, get to know someone different today!\u00a0Say hey, what\u2019s up, hello to someone new!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

*Wednesday the 18th-Block out the hate! Wear\u00a0your sunglasses\u00a0to school and be positive.\u00a0 Too cool to care what\u00a0others think!\u00a0 Sign the bully free pledge during lunch!<\/span><\/p>\n

*Thursday the 19th-Sock it to rejection! \u00a0 Wear your\u00a0most outrageous or colorful socks.\u00a0 Show you accept everyone\u2019s differences and beliefs. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

*Friday the 20th-Respect for one another!\u00a0 Wear\u00a0your team t-shirt or team color to represent working together for\u00a0peace!\u00a0 We can always count on each other.\u00a0<\/span>Support the peace and get involved!!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

RALLY FOR PEACE:\u00a0We\u2019d like to thank this year\u2019s R4P participants for their dedication, and hard work preparing their original work. Please, keep in mind that a primary focus of Rally 4 Peace is to give voice to our students, an opportunity to express themselves in a way they may not otherwise have while expressing their view of peace, and\/or obstacles to it.<\/span><\/p>\n

The performances you will see are based on the personal views of the students. We know some of what will be expressed may make you uncomfortable, but our intent is not to offend, but rather offer a different perspective. In order to come together, we must know where the other person is coming from, and while we may not agree on what is being said, our hope is that you realize some members of our society are not valued equally, treated equally, or given the same respect and rights as everyone. Each one of us has our own\u00a0worldview,\u00a0and personal experiences, and we thank our participants for having the courage to share theirs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Discussions took place during our workshops directing students to look beyond the wrongs of society, and take action to work toward a future of peace. We wish the Week of Peace and Rally 4 Peace was unnecessary\u00a0because\u00a0everyone, everywhere lived in harmony, but unfortunately, this isn\u2019t the world we live in.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Autumn Templin a sixth grade student will be reciting an original poem about friendship<\/span><\/p>\n
