AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS & NEMS THEATRE COMPANY: Rehearsals:<\/p>\n

Please note that there is a schedule change due to the basketball game…please update your calendar accordingly.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Saturday, February 4th\u00a0– scene one participants from\u00a09:00-10:00am.\u00a0 Please be off book.\u00a0 All cast members from\u00a010:00-12pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Monday, February 6th\u00a0– no rehearsal – congratulations, honor roll members!\u00a0 Happy skating!<\/span><\/p>\n

*Tuesday, February 7th\u00a0– All cast will have a singing rehearsal from\u00a03:10 until 4:00, due to the All City Middle School Orchestra practice…good luck, Northeast student representatives!<\/span><\/p>\n

*Wednesday, February 8th\u00a0– no rehearsal – meeting<\/span><\/p>\n

*Thursday, February 9th\u00a0– all cast singing rehearsal from\u00a03:10 until 5:00.\u00a0 Please note in your schedule that we will NOT rehearse on\u00a0Monday, February 13th\u00a0due to the basketball game – thank you for your flexibility.\u00a0 Please mark your calendar.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Saturday, February 11th\u00a0– Music Man rehearsal for all cast members from\u00a09:00 until noon.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Just a reminder to students who will be attending the NEMS Spring Music Trip to Lake Compounce, Connecticut…your pink form is due this Wednesday, February 1st.\u00a0 Please get the form in no later thank\u00a0this Wednesday.\u00a0 If you did not receive a form, be sure to pick one up today…\u00a0 Thank you.<\/span><\/p>\n

*<\/span>Girls Group, Boys Group, and NE Singers: \u00a0Mrs. Parker needs your permission slips for the All City Middle School Chorus Festival as soon as possible.\u00a0 If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Parker.\u00a0 Thanks.<\/span><\/p>\n

STOMP SHOW:\u00a0<\/span>Students, don’t forget about the Stomp Show!\u00a0 It’s today!\u00a0 Come see the best hip-hop dance and step groups in the area\u00a0tonight!<\/span><\/p>\n

WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB:\u00a0The next meetings for world language club will be February 9th and\u00a0February 23\u00a0after school in Miss Danner’s room A103 from\u00a03:05-4:25pm!<\/p>\n

NEPTO\u00a0FUNDRAISER – FIVE GUYS:\u00a0Five Guys Burgers and Fries are fantastic! And they have other food for purchase to benefit Northeast Middle School! Tell your family and friends to Five Guys burgers and fries from\u00a03 – 10 pm\u00a0Tuesday, February 21, and NEPTO receives 20% of all sales! When:\u00a03 to 10 PM,\u00a0Tuesday, February 21, 2017 Where: 914 Airport Center Drive, Allentown, 18109 (Target shopping center)<\/span><\/p>\n

DISMISSAL:\u00a0<\/strong>All students are to leave the school building upon dismissal at\u00a03:05PM\u00a0unless you are signed up and participating in an after school activity.\u00a0 Students MAY NOT wait in school or on school property for friends or siblings that are attending an activity.\u00a0 All students who participate in after school activities must also leave the building as soon as their activity is over.\u00a0 Students are not allowed to be in the building unsupervised!<\/b><\/p>\n

SPORTS<\/b>:\u00a0<\/span>All students attending the Northeast basketball games must remain in the gym during the games.\u00a0 Students may visit the concession stand or the restroom if needed at halftime or between game periods but may not continue to wander in and out of the gym.\u00a0 Students are also reminded that all school rules apply during the games and proper behavior is required.\u00a0 Students should come to the games to cheer on their teams and enjoy the competition.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

*Attention any 7th or 8th grade girl interested in trying out for our softball team this year, there will be a brief but important meeting on\u00a0Wednesday, February 8th at 3:05pm <\/span>in room A104.\u00a0 If you cannot make the meeting, please see Coach Jewell, Coach Korcienski or Coach Shive by the end of next week.<\/span><\/p>\n

HORNET FUNDRAISER:\u00a0<\/span>The Northeast Musical Hornets fundraiser kick off #3 is on!\u00a0 This is the LAST round of fundraisers for the current year.\u00a0 Any credits from these sales will be credited to this year’s Music in the Parks trip to Connecticut.\u00a0 Instrumental groups and NE Singers…please be sure to pick up this fundraising information in either the band or chorus rooms.\u00a0 If you have any questions, please see either Mr. Rupnik or Mrs. Parker.\u00a0 Thank you.<\/span><\/p>\n

BOXTOPS:\u00a0Box Tops! Box Tops! Box Tops! Student Leadership received our check for over $700 from Box Tops. Let’s try for $500 more by\u00a0March 1. Box Tops sheets will be sent home with report cards. Please fill in a sheet and bring it in. Notice the Box Tops are trimmed and attached. Do not use staples. We will have another raffle in March. The prize will be afternoon admission to the Proud-A-Thon!\u00a0<\/span>Thank you so much,\u00a0<\/span>Box Tops Committee!<\/span><\/p>\n

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:\u00a0<\/span>Listen to the words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, great America poet:\u00a0<\/span>Lives of great men all remind us we can make our lives sublime. And, departing, leave behind us footprints in the sands of time.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

That’s an excellent thought… one worth remembering. “We can make our lives sublime.” The word sublime means excellent… grand! Each one of us is capable of creating an excellent life. One way we can do this is by remembering the great men and women who have gone before us.\u00a0<\/span>So today, think about this: As you walk through life, you leave your own special and absolutely unrepeatable footprints in the sands of time. The question is, in whose footsteps are you following?<\/span><\/p>\n
