AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS & NEMS THEATRE COMPANY: Rehearsals:<\/p>\n

*Wednesday, February 8th\u00a0– no rehearsal – meeting<\/span><\/p>\n

*Thursday, February 9th\u00a0– all cast singing rehearsal from\u00a03:10-5pm.\u00a0 Please note in your schedule that we will NOT rehearse on\u00a0Monday, February 13th\u00a0due to the basketball game – thank you for your flexibility.\u00a0 Please mark your calendar.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Saturday, February 11th\u00a0– Music Man rehearsal for all cast members from\u00a09:00 until noon.<\/span><\/p>\n

*<\/span>Girls Group, Boys Group, and NE Singers: \u00a0Mrs. Parker needs your permission slips for the All City Middle School Chorus Festival as soon as possible.\u00a0 If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Parker.\u00a0 Thanks.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Stage crew will continue today, Wednesday February 8th, from 3 to 430,\u00a0Thursday3 to 430,\u00a0Friday, 3 to 430, and\u00a0Saturday\u00a0from\u00a09am to 11am.<\/p>\n

RALLY FOR PEACE:\u00a0<\/span>Just a reminder to those of you invited to our Rally For Peace pizza party, it will be held\u00a0Thursday the 9th\u00a0at\u00a03:05PM\u00a0in Miss Doncsecz’s room A206.\u00a0 If we have a snow day it will be rescheduled. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

LOLLIPOP SALE:\u00a0<\/span>Student Leadership will begin selling lollipops during all 3 lunches starting today.\u00a0 They are $1 each.\u00a0 Purchase a chocolate rose or a sweet lip pop for your sweetheart today!<\/span><\/p>\n

ART CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>Art club will begin again and there will be a very brief meeting\u00a0today after school to sign up and get information. Please meet in Mrs. Korhammer’s room after school.<\/span><\/p>\n

WINTER SEMI-FORMAL:\u00a0<\/span>Winter Semi-Formal at Liberty is\u00a0February 17th.<\/span> Tickets are being sold for $8.\u00a0If you’re interested in purchasing a ticket see Officer Elias.<\/span><\/p>\n

CHESS CLUB:\u00a0Attention all Chess Club Members,\u00a0this Wednesday, February 15, 2017\u00a0is the last day of Chess Club. If you have not paid Mr. Spieker $2, then you most likely will not participate in the Pizza Party. Please see Mr. Spieker today.<\/span><\/p>\n

NEPTO\u00a0FUNDRAISER – FIVE GUYS:\u00a0Five Guys Burgers and Fries are fantastic! And they have other food for purchase to benefit Northeast Middle School! Tell your family and friends to Five Guys burgers and fries from\u00a03 – 10pm\u00a0Tuesday, February 21, and NEPTO receives 20% of all sales! When:\u00a03 to 10 PM,\u00a0Tuesday, February 21, 2017 Where: 914 Airport Center Drive, Allentown, 18109 (Target shopping center)<\/span><\/p>\n

WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB:\u00a0The next meetings for world language club will be\u00a0February 9th and February 23\u00a0after school in Miss Danner’s room from\u00a03:05-4:25pm!<\/span><\/p>\n

DISMISSAL<\/span>:\u00a0<\/b>All students are to leave the school building upon dismissal at\u00a03:05PM\u00a0unless you are signed up and participating in an after school activity.\u00a0 Students MAY NOT wait in school or on school property for friends or siblings that are attending an activity.\u00a0 All students who participate in after school activities must also leave the building as soon as their activity is over.\u00a0 Students are not allowed to be in the building unsupervised!<\/span><\/p>\n

SPORTS:\u00a0<\/span>All students attending the Northeast basketball games must remain in the gym during the games.\u00a0 Students may visit the concession stand or the restroom if needed at halftime or between game periods but may not continue to wander in and out of the gym.\u00a0 Students are also reminded that all school rules apply during the games and proper behavior is required.\u00a0 Students should come to the games to cheer on their teams and enjoy the competition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

*<\/span>Any 7th or 8th grade girl interested in trying out for softball team, there will be a brief but important meeting today at 3:05pm in room A104.\u00a0 If you cannot make the meeting, please see Coach Jewell, Coach Korcienski or Coach Shive.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Attention all Northeast Soccer Players. If you are interested in trying out for the soccer team, boys and girls, please Meet Mr. Spieker in the Cafeteria Thursday, February 9 after school. This meeting will only last 15 minutes, you will need to sign-in.<\/span><\/p>\n

*<\/span>Congratulations to the Girls Varsity and JV Teams!! \u00a0Our Girls Varsity basketball team beat East Hills winning 29-15!!!!!8th graders Gabby MacTaggart and Ana-E Ramos both put 8 points on the board.\u00a07th grader Erin Eisenhart added to the score with 7 points and 8th graders Kira Ryberg (4 points) and Aaliyah Vazquez (2 points)!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

Girls JV had an amazing season filled with heart and determination!!!! I am truly blessed to have had you on my team this year and we will miss our 8th graders next year as they move up to the 9th grade! Do great things, follow your heart and never stop dreaming big AND always… make us Northeast PROUD!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

JV is thrilled to end our season with a BIG “W”!!! Beating East Hills 26-18!!!! Everyone played a GREAT game! 7th grader Alexis Sostre and 8th grader Michely Colon both put 8 points on the board!! 8th grader Lizvette Padilla added 4 points to the score helping to secure a lead!! Then 8th grader Trinity Lacayo and 7th grader Hannah Bosco put 3 points each on the board to secure the WIN!!!!\u00a0<\/span>Also a shout out to our injured girls that came and cheered their teammates on!!!! It’s not easy to sit on the sidelines when you’re born to play!!!\u00a0<\/span>AWESOME JOB LADIES!!!\u00a0<\/span>I hope to see everyone\u00a0MONDAY\u00a0at Liberty to support our Boys AND Girls Varsity Teams as they face Nitschman for their final games of the season!!!!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

HORNET FUNDRAISER:\u00a0<\/span>The Northeast Musical Hornets fundraiser kick off #3 is on!\u00a0 This is the LAST round of fundraisers for the current year.\u00a0 Any credits from these sales will be credited to this year’s Music in the Parks trip to Connecticut.\u00a0 Instrumental groups and NE Singers…please be sure to pick up this fundraising information in either the band or chorus rooms.\u00a0 If you have any questions, please see either Mr. Rupnik or Mrs. Parker.\u00a0 Thank you.<\/span><\/p>\n

BOXTOPS:\u00a0Box Tops! Box Tops! Box Tops! Student Leadership received our check for over $700 from Box Tops. Let’s try for $500 more by\u00a0March 1. Box Tops sheets will be sent home with report cards. Please fill in a sheet and bring it in. Notice the Box Tops are trimmed and attached. Do not use staples. We will have another raffle in March.
