AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS & NEMS THEATRE COMPANY: Rehearsals:\u00a0Tech week is here for Music Man Jr.!\u00a0 This week’s rehearsals are as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

*Wednesday, February 22nd, and\u00a0Thursday, February 23rd’s rehearsals will be from\u00a03:10 until 6:00\u00a0in the auditorium.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

*Saturday, February 25th’s rehearsal will be from\u00a09:00 AM until 2:00 PM.\u00a0 We will be having photos taken as well, thanks to Christmas City Studios.\u00a0 Please have your envelope, with your money, ready to go\u00a0on Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Biographies and ad forms from both cast and crew are due today, February 22nd.\u00a0 Please get them to Mrs. Parker ASAP!\u00a0<\/span>Ticket orders are being taken as well…it is $5 for each ticket.\u00a0<\/span>If you have any questions, please see either Mrs. Klose, Miss Thomas, or Mrs. Parker.\u00a0Please be sure to have your academic classes in order…use your time wisely…bring your homework to rehearsal so that you can work on it when you have a few moments of down time.\u00a0<\/span>MAKE US NORTHEAST PROUD!\u00a0 Thank you for your time and talent!<\/span><\/p>\n

DANCE TEAM:\u00a0<\/span>There is practice\u00a0today.<\/span><\/p>\n

WORLD PERCUSSION:\u00a0<\/span>World percussion ensemble, we have practice the\u00a0tomorrow, day 1 in school during activity.\u00a0This Thursday after school, ONLY the horns and strings will practice after school.<\/span><\/p>\n

RALLY FOR PEACE:\u00a0<\/span>Just a reminder to those of you invited to our Rally For Peace pizza party, it will be held\u00a0today Febuary 22nd at\u00a03:05pm\u00a0in Miss Doncsecz’s room A206. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB:\u00a0The next meeting for world language club will be\u00a0Thursday\u00a0after school in Miss Danner’s room from\u00a03:05-4:25pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

DEBATE CLUB:\u00a0The next Debate Club meeting will be held\u00a0tomorrow, February 23rd at 3:05pm\u00a0in room A105. All members are asked to attend. Any new people interested are also welcome. Any questions, please see Mr. Gross or Mrs. Schenk.<\/span><\/p>\n

DISMISSAL<\/span>:\u00a0<\/b>All students are to leave the school building upon dismissal at\u00a03:05PM\u00a0unless you are signed up and participating in an after school activity.\u00a0 Students MAY NOT wait in school or on school property for friends or siblings that are attending an activity.\u00a0 All students who participate in after school activities must also leave the building as soon as their activity is over.\u00a0 Students are not allowed to be in the building unsupervised!<\/span><\/p>\n

STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL:\u00a0<\/span>Student Leadership Council would like to remind you that you can be a leader, and not a litterer!\u00a0 Please help us keep Northeast clean! Remember to use the garbage cans\u00a0located outside of your morning entrance each day instead of the ground.\u00a0 Thanks!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SPORTS:\u00a0<\/span>Attention all Northeast Soccer Players. There will be an Open Gym after school until\u00a04pm\u00a0for\u00a0Monday Feb. 27th and Thursday March 2nd. This is not try-outs. If you have any questions, please see Coach Spieker in room A108 during homeroom.<\/span><\/p>\n

*There will be open gym for any 7th or 8th grade girl interested in trying out for softball, any position, Today, and next\u00a0Wednesday, March 1st\u00a0in the main gym.\u00a0 It will be over at\u00a04pm.<\/p>\n

BOXTOPS:\u00a0<\/span>Box Tops! Box Tops! Box Tops! Student Leadership received our check for over $700 from Box Tops. Let’s try for $500 more by\u00a0March 1.\u00a0 Please fill in a sheet and bring it in. Notice the Box Tops are trimmed and attached. Do not use staples. We will have another raffle in March. The prize will be afternoon admission to the Proud-A-Thon!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT\u2019S SO COOL ABOUT MANUFACTURING:\u00a0<\/span>Good morning Northeast! A team of 8th graders participated in the What\u2019s So Cool About Manufacturing video contest. In a moment you will see their video entry. We hope that you will take the opportunity to vote and support our school\u2019s team.\u00a0<\/span>Online voting is FEBRUARY 22-24. NORTHEAST GOT TALENT:\u00a0Attention Northeast Middle School 7th and 8th graders…\u00a0Do you have a talent? Folding napkins, juggling, singing, dancing, miming, rubiks cube solver, hula hooper,\u00a0oh how the list could go on and on…\u00a0If yes, or even a maybe, please attend the informational meeting on Thursday, February 23<\/span>rd<\/span>. The Meeting is for\u00a0<\/span>7th & 8th Grades\u00a0ONLY. Thursday\u00a0<\/span>(2\/23)\u00a0in the Cafeteria after school starting promptly at 3:10pm.\u00a0<\/span>Important information will be given out!\u00a0<\/span>(6th grade will have a separate meeting)<\/span><\/p>\n

THOUGHT OF THE DAY<\/b>:<\/span><\/p>\n

We’ve all heard about climbing the ladder to success. Luis Nogales is an exceptional climber. He climbed his way up from the crop fields to the president’s office of the United Press international, a news service. His climb was made easier because of his love of learning – something he inherited from his father, a migrant farm worker who traveled from field to field with a small library of books. Luis Nogales has traveled the world and here’s what he said about his travels: As I travel and worked with people from different countries, I am even more convinced that this is the greatest society in the world today for people to better themselves and achieve.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are fortunate to live in a country that offers so many opportunities to so many people. Today, take a moment to be grateful\u00a0for the opportunities you have as an American citizen to educate yourself and to achieve your goals.<\/span><\/p>\n
