First let me remind everyone that you should have received your child\u2019s report card this past Friday and as always you can view the daily progress at any time using our parent portal. This past week has been a grueling week, but we are finished with the first half of our state testing and have until the week of the 24<sup>th<\/sup> to rest up before we tackle the math portion. Fortunately the math PSSA tests last only three days versus the 4 days of the Reading\/ELA that we just finished. We thank all of our students and our families for taking these tests seriously and for doing their best so that our students\u2019 best is highlighted.<\/p>\n<p>For this short week we have many activities packed into our three school days.\u00a0\u00a0 We start off our week recognizing the accomplishments of our 3<sup>rd<\/sup> quarter honor roll recipients with our recognition ceremonies Monday and Tuesday morning. Monday is for our 6<sup>th<\/sup> graders and Tuesday is for our 7<sup>th<\/sup> and 8<sup>th<\/sup> grade students. On Monday afternoon we will have a performance for our students featuring the 20 finalists of our Northeast Got Talent program. Look for flyers announcing the 10 finalists and their evening performance competition that will be held Tuesday April 18<sup>th<\/sup>. \u00a0On Tuesday we begin hosting our incoming 6<sup>th<\/sup> grade students from our elementary feeder schools. Tuesday we will welcome Lincoln\u2019s incoming 6<sup>th<\/sup> graders, and Wednesday we will enjoy showing our Marvine students our school. The orientation consists of time in our academic and encore classes plus lunch in our lunchroom. Last year was a great success with this type of student orientation.<\/p>\n<p>Finally in sports our girl\u2019s softball team is scheduled to play twice and our soccer team once.\u00a0\u00a0 Soccer is at Nitschmann on Monday. Our girl\u2019s softball team plays at home against Nitschmann on Monday, and they play at Eyer on Wednesday. Wednesday will be a busy day for our girls, as we will also be holding our Spring Pep Rally prior to their departure to their game.
