{"id":1747,"date":"2017-05-03T15:48:51","date_gmt":"2017-05-03T15:48:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/northeast\/?p=1747"},"modified":"2017-05-03T15:48:51","modified_gmt":"2017-05-03T15:48:51","slug":"announcements-for-may-3-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/northeast\/2017\/05\/03\/announcements-for-may-3-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Announcements for May 3, 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fcbkbttn_buttons_block\" id=\"fcbkbttn_left\"><\/div><p>AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: Rehearsals<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The schedule for vocal groups is as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*Wednesday, May 3rd\u00a0&#8211; NE Singers &#8211; all from\u00a03:10-4:30<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*Thursday, May 4th\u00a0&#8211; All after school vocal groups from\u00a03:10-4:00\u00a0(this is a new rehearsal &#8211; thank you for your flexibility)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thank you for your time and talent!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">DISMISSAL<\/span><b>:\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All students are to leave the school building upon dismissal at\u00a03:05PM\u00a0unless you are signed up and participating in an after school activity.\u00a0 Students MAY NOT wait in school or on school property for friends or siblings that are attending an activity.\u00a0 All students who participate in after school activities must also leave the building as soon as their activity is over.\u00a0Students are not allowed to be in the building unsupervised.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>STEP TEAM<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mandatory practice this week Tuesday, Thursday and\u00a0Friday until 5pm.\u00a0 Any step team member who has not paid their money for the trip to Hershey by\u00a0Friday\u00a0will not go on the trip. Any student who has not returned their uniform to Ms. Bauder by\u00a0Friday\u00a0will not attend the trip. Please arrange any rides necessary.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>MAJORETTE TRYOUTS<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Liberty High School wants to notify you in regards to this year&#8217;s majorette try-outs. Please place the try-out date in our bulletins as today after school at Liberty High School in the band room. The candidates trying out will be responsible for learning a 32-count Liberty high School routine AND developing a 32-48 count routine on their own. The practice and try-out will be held today, beginning immediately following your school day. Music is optional if you wish to bring it. students please bring a copy of your most recent report card to the tryout. Once we have chosen our majorettes, they will send out an email with students who made the squad so that you may also announce accordingly.\u00a0 All those that make the squad will also be contacted via phone.\u00a0 Please direct any questions or concerns to them at liberty high school at\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"tel:(610)%20691-7200\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(610) 691-7200<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The next World Language Club meeting will be held on\u00a0<\/span>Thursday, May 4th<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0after school in room A103!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>BOARD GAME<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Board game club will be meeting today, Wednesday, May 3rd and also\u00a0Thursday, May 4<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in Miss Vanderstel&#8217;s room after school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>DANCE TEAM<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dance team, do not forget that there is practice today,\u00a0Wednesday, after school and also\u00a0Friday\u00a0after school. We need to get ready for our competition next weekend!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>SPORTS<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*Congrats to the Northeast Soccer Team! They went across town and the Varsity and JV Squad both beat Broughal Middle School 2 to Nothing! In the Varsity Game, we had Matthew Johnston score a Solo goal, and Catey Kelly scored from an assist from Ryan Haupt. For the JV team, Jeremy Lopez scored from an assist from Omaunii Hunte, and William Eckert Scored a solo goal. Congrats. The Varisty team is 5 and 4 with One Tie this season.\u00a0Tomorrow\u00a0the team will travel to Nazareth. Good Luck Hornets!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cheer tryouts will be held\u00a0May 15th-May 18th\u00a0from\u00a03:05-5:00\u00a0in the main gym. Please come dressed appropriately in comfortable work out clothes. Bring your most recent report card as well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>WORLD PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There is practice tomorrow, Thursday May 4<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> 3-4pm after school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>DANCE:\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Get ready for the last 6th &amp; 7th grade dance of the year Hornets!\u00a0 The Northeast PTO will be sponsoring a dance this Friday, May 5th from\u00a07-9pm.\u00a0 The theme is Red, White, and Blue!\u00a0 The incoming 6th grade class is also invited, let\u2019s show them how amazing our school is and show your support!\u00a0 We will have some great things happening!\u00a0 The PTO will have Sand Crafters edible Pucker Powder Candy Art.\u00a0 Come and create your own colorful sour straw!\u00a0 Just $3.00 to make a 12 inch straw!\u00a0 The PTO will also have a best dressed patriotic theme contest.\u00a0 One boy and one girl each will win a gift card to Five Below!\u00a0 The PTO will also have a great game called Body Poppers.\u00a0 Try and bop your opponent off the mat to win a prize!\u00a0 Don\u2019t miss this dance! We will see you\u00a0this Friday!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>JUNIOR POLICE ACADEMY<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Officer Elias is accepting applications for the Junior Police Academy.\u00a0 The Academy runs from\u00a0June 12th to June 23rd.\u00a0 Cadets will get educated on the police department and different stages of the legal system.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Selected cadets will get to go on field trips and receive presentations from various professionals within public service.\u00a0 There will be daily physical training that the cadets are required to participate in.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There is limited spacing and cadets will be selected based on Academic performance and behavior.\u00a0 Applications are to be returned to Officer Elias before\u00a0May 12th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>THOUGHT OF THE DAY<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Helen Gahagan Douglas lived a very busy life.
