Money will not be left on the table. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>BOXTOPS<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Swavely or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>SAFE TO TELL<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It&#8217;s SAFE to Tell.&#8221; The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner\u00a0<\/span>to help remove any and all barriers<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0to education.\u00a0 You can refer your friends or yourself.\u00a0 Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t worry, &#8220;It&#8217;s Safe To Tell.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>SPORTS<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The cross country team had a muggy run at Northampton.\u00a0Our top three boys were Jude Chichester, Zane Landis, and Addison Collins.\u00a0 The top girls were Zoe sharkan, Ella Scott, and Mikailyn Matacavage. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Shout out goes to Kathryn Testa on her first race with the team. \u00a0Another shout out goes to Micheal Devers for improving his race!\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Great job Team!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*The Northeast field hockey team played a great game against Nitschmann, the defense played hard kept the score to 1-0.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>DISMISSAL<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students please note that you are not permitted to remain in the building after dismissal unless you are involved in an activity. If you are waiting for a friend, please wait outside of the building.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>CHORUS<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thank you to all who auditioned for the after school vocal groups. It was great to hear so many talented NE students.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The lists of Boys Group, Girls Group, and Northeast Singers will be posted today Friday, September 15th\u00a0after school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our rehearsal schedule for next week is the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*Monday, September 18th\u00a0&#8211; all after school vocal groups (Boys Group, Girls Group, and NE Singers) from\u00a03:10-4pm<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*Tuesday, September 19th\u00a0&#8211; all after school vocal groups from\u00a03:10-4pm<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*Wednesday, September 20th\u00a0&#8211; no rehearsal<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*Thursday, September 21st\u00a0&#8211; no rehearsal &#8211; no school<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*Friday, September 22nd\u00a0&#8211; no rehearsal<\/span><\/p>\n<p>DEBATE CLUB<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attention all debaters! The debate club will hold its first meeting\u00a0Monday, September 25th\u00a0in room A105. It is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who have a desire for their opinions to be heard. If you are interested in signing up, please see Mr. Gross or Miss Cedor\u00a0for a permission form or just come on the 25th. Hope to see you there!&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>SUPERHERO RESEARCH CLUB<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attention all those Superheros out there! Superhero Research Club is back this year with high demand! Superhero research is only open to 7<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0and 8<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">graders. Again, open only to 7<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0and 8<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0graders. The Club will be held on every\u00a0Thursday\u00a0for one hour after school. The first day will begin on Thursday September 28<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">! All permission forms are outside room A108. There are only 25 limited spots. First come first serve in Superhero Research Club. Please have your permission slip completed and brought back to Mr. Spieker in room A108 before Wednesday September 27<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Spieker in room A108.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>ARCHERY<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There will be a general interest meeting today, September 15th for any students who are interested in joining the archery team.\u00a0 The meeting will run from\u00a03:05 &#8211; 4:00pm\u00a0and be held in Mr. Detwiler\u2019s room in A309.\u00a0 This meeting is for new archers as well as students who are already on the advanced team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>CHESS &amp; BOARD GAME PLAYERS<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attention all Chess and Board Game Players! Students 6th Grade through 8th Grade are welcome to engage in novice chess playing to competitive mini tournaments with specialty chess boards and small life-size pieces as well as fun filled and challenging Board games that run from RISK to Monopoly!\u00a0 Learn rules and mathematical coordination that builds on math concepts and\u00a0sportsmanships. Chess Club Starts on Wednesdays\u00a0Sept. 20th\u00a0and Strategic Game Board Club starts in\u00a0October 25th\u00a0on Wednesdays! If you have any questions see Mr. Spieker room A108 and\/or Miss Vanderstel room A101 on the 7th Grade Floor! Please stop by to pick up forms and permission slips!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Do you love learning languages? Love learning about different cultures? You might want to join the WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB!! If you are interested in World Language club..permission slips are available outside of room B202 near the library. Space is limited- only the first 25 students to return the slip will be able to join! Talk to Frau Thomas, Madame Johnson, or Senorita Danner to learn more about the club!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>DANCE<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Welcome back to school Hornets!! \u00a0The Northeast PTO will be hosting the first dance for the 2017-2018 school year on Friday, September 15th from\u00a07-9 pm.\u00a0 This dance is for eligible students who receive a pass from their teacher.\u00a0 Cost of admission is $5.00.\u00a0 The snack stand will be open.
