Money will not be left on the table.<\/p>\n<p>BOXTOPS: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Swavely or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.<\/p>\n<p>PROUD-A-THON: Attention all students!\u00a0Remember to bring in donations for the proud-a-thon\u00a0this Friday.<\/p>\n<p>SAFE TO TELL: It&#8217;s SAFE to Tell.&#8221; The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner\u00a0to help remove any and all barriers\u00a0to education.\u00a0 You can refer your friends or yourself.\u00a0 Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t worry, &#8220;It&#8217;s Safe To Tell.<\/p>\n<p>DISMISSAL: Students please note that you are not permitted to remain in the building after dismissal unless you are involved in an activity. If you are waiting for a friend, please wait outside of the building.<\/p>\n<p>AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: Our rehearsal schedule for next week is the following: Tues, Sept 19th\u00a0&#8211; all after school vocal groups from\u00a03:10-4pm<\/p>\n<p>*Wed, Sept 20th\u00a0&#8211; no rehearsal<\/p>\n<p>*Thurs, Sept 21st\u00a0&#8211; no rehearsal &#8211; no school<\/p>\n<p>*Fri, Sept 22nd\u00a0&#8211; no rehearsal<\/p>\n<p>DEBATE CLUB: The debate club will hold its first meeting\u00a0Monday, September 25th\u00a0in room A105. It is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who have a desire for their opinions to be heard. If you are interested in signing up, please see Mr. Gross or Miss Cedor\u00a0for a permission form or just come on the 25th. Hope to see you there!<\/p>\n<p>SPORTS: Cross-country team, we have a meet at Freedom High School on\u00a0Wednesday, September 20th!\u00a0 Don\u2019t forget to let your parents know.<\/p>\n<p>SUPERHERO RESEARCH CLUB: Superhero Research Club is back this year with high demand! Superhero research is only open to 7th\u00a0and 8thgraders. The Club will be held on every\u00a0Thursday\u00a0for one hour after school. The first day will begin on Thursday September 28th! All permission forms are outside room A108. There are only 25 limited spots. First come first serve. Please have your permission slip completed and brought back to Mr. Spieker in room A108 before Wed September 27th. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Spieker in room A108.<\/p>\n<p>ARCHERY: Calling all archers!\u00a0There will be a general interest meeting tomorrow, September 19th\u00a0for any students who are interested in joining the archery team.\u00a0 The meeting will run from\u00a03:05 \u2013 4:00pm\u00a0and be held on the third floor in Mr. Detwiler\u2019s room A309.\u00a0 This meeting is for new archers as well as students who are already on the advanced team. If you\u00a0have any questions, please see Mrs. Papagni, Ms. Shook or Mr. Detwiler.<\/p>\n<p>CHESS &amp; BOARD GAME PLAYERS: Students 6th Grade through 8th Grade are welcome to engage in novice chess playing to competitive mini tournaments with specialty chessboards and small life-size pieces as well as fun filled and challenging Board games that run from RISK to Monopoly!\u00a0 Learn rules and mathematical coordination that builds on math concepts and\u00a0sportsmanships. Chess Club Starts on Wednesdays\u00a0Sept. 20th\u00a0and Strategic Game Board Club starts in\u00a0October 25th\u00a0on Wednesdays! If you have any questions see Mr. Spieker room A108 and\/or Miss Vanderstel room A101 on the 7th Grade Floor! Please stop by to pick up forms and permission slips!<\/p>\n<p>WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB: Do you love learning languages? Love learning about different cultures? You might want to join the WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB!! If you are interested in World Language club..permission slips are available outside of room B202 near the library. Space is limited- only the first 25 students to return the slip will be able to join! Talk to Frau Thomas, Madame Johnson, or Senorita Danner to learn more about the club!<\/p>\n<p>WORLD PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE: Attention 8th graders: if you want to try out for World Percussion Ensemble, please see Mr. Huie ASAP.\u00a0 He is looking for drummers.\u00a0 If you&#8217;ve never played a drum, that&#8217;s okay, Mr. Huie is auditioning to find kids with good rhythm. \u00a0Also needs experienced piano, bass, guitar, band instrumentalists that can read music.\u00a0 This is for 8th graders only!<\/p>\n<p>DANCE TEAM: Attention all Northeast Students!\u00a0 The Dance\u00a0Team\u00a0is having\u00a0auditions\u00a0NEXT Wednesday at\u00a03:05pm\u00a0in the auditorium.\u00a0 Students will need to learn a\u00a0dance\u00a0and freestyle auditions\u00a0will go to about 4:30pm\u00a0and continue onto the next week.\u00a0 See Mr. Huie if you have any questions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Attention all 8th graders you will be released from lunch to your lockers before going to 7th period encore class.
