DROP OFF TABLE:\u00a0<\/span>Student Services has a drop off table.\u00a0 If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up.\u00a0 Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass.\u00a0 If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BOXTOPS:\u00a0<\/span>Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Swavely or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.<\/span><\/p>\n

PROUD-A-THON:\u00a0Attention all students!\u00a0Remember to bring in donations for the proud-a-thon\u00a0this Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n

SAFE TO TELL:\u00a0<\/span>It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner\u00a0<\/span>to help remove any and all barriers\u00a0to education.\u00a0 You can refer your friends or yourself.\u00a0 Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.\u00a0 Don’t worry, “It’s Safe To Tell.<\/span><\/p>\n

DISMISSAL:\u00a0<\/span>Students please note that you are not permitted to remain in the building after dismissal unless you are involved in an activity. If you are waiting for a friend, please wait outside of the building.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NEPTO FUNDRAISER:\u00a0The In The City coupon book fundraiser is coming to an end.\u00a0Students, please remember to bring in your money by this\u00a0coming Friday\u00a0for the In The City coupon book that you took home for your parents to consider buying.\u00a0 If they are not buying the book, you must bring the coupon book back to your homeroom teacher by\u00a0Friday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

DEBATE CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>The debate club will hold its first meeting\u00a0Monday, September 25th\u00a0in room A105. It is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who have a desire for their opinions to be heard. If you are interested in signing up, please see Mr. Gross or Miss Cedor\u00a0for a permission form or just come on the 25th. Hope to see you there!”<\/span><\/p>\n

SPORTS:\u00a0<\/span>Cross-country team, we have a meet at Freedom High School today, September 20th!\u00a0 Don\u2019t forget to let your parents know.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Attention all football players.\u00a0 Please turn in your Villa Vita fundraiser money or unsold tickets to Mr. Korcienski in room A107.\u00a0 All tickets and money must be turned in today.\u00a0 In addition, you can pick up your NE Football apparel order forms, they are due back\u00a0Friday, September 29.\u00a0 Any questions see Mr. Korcienski.<\/span><\/p>\n

SUPERHERO RESEARCH CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>Superhero Research Club is back this year with high demand! Superhero research is only open to 7<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0and 8<\/span>th<\/span>graders. The Club will be held on every\u00a0Thursday\u00a0for one hour after school. The first day will begin on Thursday September 28<\/span>th<\/span>! All permission forms are outside room A108. There are only 25 limited spots. First come first serve. Please have your permission slip completed and brought back to Mr. Spieker in room A108 before Wed September 27<\/span>th<\/span>. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Spieker in room A108.<\/span><\/p>\n

CHESS & BOARD GAME PLAYERS:\u00a0<\/span>Students 6th Grade through 8th Grade are welcome to engage in novice chess playing to competitive mini tournaments with specialty chessboards and small life-size pieces as well as fun filled and challenging Board games that run from RISK to Monopoly!\u00a0 Learn rules and mathematical coordination that builds on math concepts and\u00a0sportsmanships. Chess Club Starts on Wednesdays\u00a0Sept. 20th\u00a0and Strategic Game Board Club starts in\u00a0October 25th\u00a0on Wednesdays! If you have any questions see Mr. Spieker room A108 and\/or Miss Vanderstel room A101 on the 7th Grade Floor! Please stop by to pick up forms and permission slips!<\/span><\/p>\n

WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>Do you love learning languages? Love learning about different cultures? You might want to join the WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB!! If you are interested in World Language club..permission slips are available outside of room B202 near the library. Space is limited- only the first 25 students to return the slip will be able to join! Talk to Frau Thomas, Madame Johnson, or Senorita Danner to learn more about the club!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PICTURE DAY:\u00a0SMILE!!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0Picture day will be next\u00a0Wednesday, September 27, 2017.\u00a0 Please make sure to have your parents complete your order form or pre-order your picture packages online.\u00a0 Extra forms are available in both the Main Office and Student Services.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

WORLD PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE:\u00a0<\/span>Attention 8th graders: if you want to try out for World Percussion Ensemble, please see Mr. Huie ASAP.\u00a0 He is looking for drummers.\u00a0 If you’ve never played a drum, that’s okay, Mr. Huie is auditioning to find kids with good rhythm.\u00a0 Also needs experienced piano, bass, guitar, band instrumentalists that can read music.\u00a0 This is for 8th graders only!<\/span><\/p>\n

DANCE TEAM:\u00a0Attention all Northeast Students!\u00a0 Dance Team try outs are to be held starting\u00a0NEXT Wednesday! Attention Students, the\u00a0Dance\u00a0Team\u00a0is having\u00a0auditions\u00a0NEXT Wednesday at\u00a03:05\u00a0in the auditorium.\u00a0 Students will need to learn a\u00a0dance\u00a0and freestyle.
