SCHOOL STORE:\u00a0<\/span>The\u00a0school\u00a0store\u00a0opens today, Monday, September 25th, during activity period. It will be open every activity day during activity period. Come see\u00a0all the new\u00a0school\u00a0supplies!<\/span><\/p>\n

DROP OFF TABLE:\u00a0<\/span>Student Services has a drop off table.\u00a0 If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up.\u00a0 Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass.\u00a0 If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BOXTOPS:\u00a0<\/span>Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Swavely or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.<\/span><\/p>\n

SAFE TO TELL:\u00a0<\/span>It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner\u00a0<\/span>to help remove any and all barriers\u00a0to education.\u00a0 You can refer your friends or yourself.\u00a0 Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.\u00a0 Don’t worry, “It’s Safe To Tell.<\/span><\/p>\n

SUPERHERO RESEARCH CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>Attention all those Superhero\u2019s out there! Superhero Research Club is back this year with high demand! Superhero research is only open to 7<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0and 8<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0graders. Again, open only to 7<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0and 8<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0graders. The Club will be held on every\u00a0Thursday\u00a0for one hour after school. The first day will begin on\u00a0Thursday September 28<\/span>th<\/span>! All permission forms are outside room A108. There are only 25 limited spots. First come first serve in Superhero Research Club. Please have your permission slip completed and brought back to Mr. Spieker in room A108 before\u00a0Wednesday September 27<\/span>th<\/span>. CHESS & BOARD GAME PLAYERS:\u00a0<\/span>Attention all Chess and Board Game Players! Students 6th Grade through 8th Grade are welcome to engage in novice chess playing to competitive mini tournaments with specialty chessboards and small life-size pieces as well as fun filled and challenging Board games that run from RISK to Monopoly!\u00a0 Learn rules and mathematical coordination that builds on math concepts and\u00a0sportsmanship\u2019s. Chess Club Started on Wednesday Sept. 20th and Strategic Game Board Club starts in\u00a0October 25th\u00a0on Wednesdays! <\/span>If you have any questions see Mr. Spieker room A108 and\/or Miss Vanderstel room A101 on the 7th Grade Floor! WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>Do you love learning languages? Love learning about different cultures? You might want to join the WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB!! If you are interested in World Language club..permission slips are available outside of room B202 near the library. READING OLYMPICS:\u00a0<\/span>The Northeast Reading Olympics Team is starting up again! Any 6th grade student interested in finding out about Reading Olympics, please head to classroom A300 during Activity Period TODAY! \u00a0<\/span>7th and 8th grade students interested in joining Reading Olympics, your meeting will be\u00a0Thursday, Day 4, during Activity Period in classroom A300. Get involved – join the Northeast Reading Olympics Team!<\/span><\/p>\n

DANCE TEAM:\u00a0Attention all Northeast Students!\u00a0 The Dance\u00a0Team\u00a0is having\u00a0auditions Wednesday at\u00a03:05pm\u00a0in the auditorium.\u00a0 Students will need to learn a\u00a0dance\u00a0and freestyle. RALLY 4 PEACE:\u00a0<\/span>Are you creative? Do you love to sing, rap, write lyrics or poetry, draw, or paint? Are you an aspiring photographer or filmmaker? If so, join the Rally 4 Peace after school program, and combine your passion with a focus on building peace. This year\u2019s theme is\u00a0<\/span>Acceptance = Peace<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our annual Rally 4 Peace presentation at Northeast is during the week of Martin Luther King Jr.\u2019s birthday in January. In previous years, our participants have performed twice for US Senator Robert Casey, and twice at the Zoellner Arts Center at Lehigh University. This year, we will be working with the Basement Poets and performing at The Ice House in a show open to the public.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our interest meeting will take place\u00a0this Thursday, at\u00a03:10pm\u00a0in room A300 (Mrs. Roehenbeck\u2019s room).\u00a0 We will provide you with more information and a permission slip.
