DRAMA & AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS:\u00a0December 16 – Rehearsal for Once Upon a Mattress\u00a0tomorrow is as follows:\u00a0<\/span>9-10 AM:\u00a0 Scene 7 (p. 31-34).\u00a0 This rehearsal is for Dauntless, Larken, Winnifred, Rowena, and Lucille.\u00a0<\/span>10-11:30 AM, the rehearsal is for the entire cast.\u00a0 We will be learning the dance The Spanish Panic.\u00a0 Please be dressed to be able to dance.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Northeast Singers are the only students rehearsing after school this week.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Monday, December 18th – A slight change in the week ahead:\u00a0 A brief rehearsal from\u00a03:10-3:45\u00a0on Monday, December 18th in preparation for Barnes and Noble Night on\u00a0Tuesday, December 19th.\u00a0 Thank you for your flexibility.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Tuesday, December 19th\u00a0– Barnes and Noble Night from\u00a06:00-8:30 PM.\u00a0 You will need to wear your Musical Hornets polo.\u00a0 See Mrs. Parker with any questions or concerns regarding a polo shirt.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Wednesday, December 20th\u00a0– Rehearsal from\u00a03:10-4:00<\/span><\/p>\n

*NO REHEARSAL on\u00a0Thursday, December 21st.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Friday, December 22nd\u00a0– we will be Caroling in the Lehigh Valley, which takes place during the school day.\u00a0<\/span>Please see Mrs. Parker with any questions.\u00a0 Thank you for your time and talent!<\/span><\/p>\n

NUTCRACKER PERFORMANCE: Students who will be attending the Nutcracker performance at Zoellner:\u00a0 Please be sure to be dressed up for the performance.\u00a0 Students who are rehearsing at Northeast earlier should bring a change of clothes.\u00a0 Be at NE no later than\u00a011:55 AM.\u00a0 The bus will leave no later than\u00a012:10. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Parker today.<\/p>\n

BOOK DRIVE:\u00a0<\/span>Help support Alfiona, Jacob, Jelissa, and Alex by bringing in old books to support the cops and kids Children’s Hospital of Montefiore in the Bronx New York. Bring in your books by\u00a0today December 15th, remember that the class that brings in the most books will have the choice of an ice cream or pizza party.<\/span><\/p>\n

STUDENT LEADERSHIP FUNDRAISER:\u00a0Student leadership is selling lollipops $1.00 each at 6th 7th and 8th grade lunches. Have a great day buy one before they run out.<\/span><\/p>\n

GIRL SCOUTS:\u00a0<\/span>The girl scouts will be meeting every\u00a0Friday\u00a0from\u00a03:10-4:05pm until April 6th.<\/span><\/p>\n

STEP TEAM:\u00a0<\/span>Practice will be\u00a0on Wednesday, December 20th\u00a0from\u00a03:15-5:20 PM. \u00a0Step team practices will be changing to Fridays from\u00a03:15-5:20 PM\u00a0in the New Year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

RALLY FOR PEACE:\u00a0<\/span>Rally For Peace will be meeting every\u00a0Wednesday\u00a0and\u00a0Thursday\u00a0in A300 from\u00a03:10-4:10! Please try to be there! We need to get our products done! Thanks!<\/span><\/p>\n

DONATIONS:\u00a0<\/span>Support Magdelena, Jailyn, Carolyne, Alianys, and Sharith by taking an ornament off the tree on the second floor lobby, buying an item on the list to donate, and dropping off your donation under the tree. This fundraiser benefits New Bethany Ministries, which in turn helps families in our community. Please help these students’ leadership project!<\/span><\/p>\n

BOYS BASKETBALL: Congratulations to both the Varsity and JV boys teams for great come\u00a0back wins at Nitschmann last night.\u00a0 The boy’s next home game is\u00a0on Monday, 12\/18 against South Mountain.\u00a0 Come on out and see us play!<\/span><\/p>\n

GIRLS BASKETBALL: We lost a game and won a game yesterday AND we are both extremely proud of how OUR Girls performed\u00a0Thursday!!!!\u00a0<\/span>Every game you amaze us with how much you have learned and grown in such a short time and look forward to seeing how much more you will grow as players, leaders and a team as the season presses forward!!\u00a0<\/span>Let\u2019s stay focused on working hard and working as one and digging deep for a sisterhood of hustle and heart!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

FOOTBALL: Any student who played football this year please stop by Mr. Korcienski\u2019s room to pick up you Proud Pound.<\/span><\/p>\n

7th GRADE HOMEWORK CLUB:\u00a07th grade Homework Club will NOT be meeting\u00a0on Tuesday next week. We will meet on\u00a0<\/span>Monday\u00a0after school instead. All members should put a note in their planners and inform their parents of the change in next week’s schedule.<\/span><\/p>\n

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:\u00a0<\/span>Former president Ronald Reagan once said:\u00a0<\/span>There can be no greater good then the quest for peace and no finer purpose then the preservation of freedom.\u00a0<\/em>As a young\u00a0person, you can contribute to world peace by questing after inner peace.\u00a0\u00a0You can start to notice what makes you angry,\u00a0what makes you afraid, what causes you to judge others. You can talk to someone you can trust, such as a teacher, a counselor, or a faith leader, and discover ways to let go of your anger, and prejudice and fear.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can also contribute to the preservation of freedom by preserving your own freedom. Instead of making choices that imprison you…like the choice to be dishonest or to take drugs or to be hateful. ..you can make choices that ensure your freedom to be everything you are capable of being.\u00a0\u00a0You can choose to be an honest and an educated human being.\u00a0<\/span>Today, what choices will you make? Take a look.<\/span><\/p>\n
