AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: Rehearsals:<\/span><\/p>\n

*Wednesday, December 20th\u00a0– Rehearsal from\u00a03:10-4:00<\/span><\/p>\n

*NO REHEARSAL on\u00a0Thursday, December 21st.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Friday, December 22nd\u00a0– we will be Caroling in the Lehigh Valley, which takes place during the school day.\u00a0<\/span>Please see Mrs. Parker with any questions.\u00a0 Thank you for your time and talent!<\/span><\/p>\n

MUSIC ENSEMBLES: Congratulations and thanks to our student performers at last night’s Barnes and Noble Night…thank you for spreading holiday cheer to our community!\u00a0 Parents, we thank you for your support of our school.\u00a0 Thanks to those who came out to see our students! Evenings like last night certainly make us Northeast PROUD!\u00a0 Thank you for your time and talent!<\/span><\/p>\n

STUDENT LEADERSHIP FUNDRAISER:\u00a0<\/span>Student leadership is selling lollipops $1.00 each at 6th 7th and 8th grade lunches. Have a great day buy one before they run out.<\/span><\/p>\n

GIRL SCOUTS:\u00a0<\/span>The girl scouts will be meeting every\u00a0Friday\u00a0from\u00a03:10-4:05pm\u00a0until\u00a0April 6th.<\/span><\/p>\n

STEP TEAM:\u00a0<\/span>Practice will be\u00a0on Wednesday, December 20th\u00a0from\u00a03:15-5:20 PM. \u00a0Step team practices will be changing to Fridays from\u00a03:15-5:20 PM\u00a0in the New Year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

RALLY FOR PEACE:\u00a0<\/span>Rally For Peace will be meeting every Wednesday and\u00a0 Thursday\u00a0in A300 from\u00a03:10-4:10! Please try to be there! We need to get our products done! Thanks!<\/span><\/p>\n

DONATIONS:\u00a0<\/span>Northeast…. it’s not too late! Get your donations in for the New Bethany Ministries in South Side. The items needed are printed on the ornaments on the Christmas tree in the lobby. Take an ornament and bring back an item to donate. All donations are due\u00a0this Friday! Thanks for your kindness and support!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CHESS CLUB:\u00a0<\/span>We will be starting up the 2nd Session of CHESS Club right after the Holiday Break. It will start on that\u00a0Wednesday January 3rd\u00a0after school. Current members can just show up. New members need to get a permission form outside Mr. Spieker’s room in the hallway at room A108. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Spieker.<\/span><\/p>\n

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:\u00a0During the holidays, most of us expect to receive lots of gifts from friends and family. We will spend our heard-earned money… or allowances… buying gifts for others. But many of us, because of financial difficulties, aren\u2019t expecting gifts and have no money to shop for others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So during this special time of year, it\u2019s important for those of us who have to share with those who have not. Let\u2019s remember the words of Saint Francis of Assissi:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Blessed is the man who helps his neighbor in trouble, just as he would wish to be helped in like circumstances<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Sounds like that Golden Rule again, doesn\u2019t it? You may say, \u201cBut I\u2019m just a kid. I don\u2019t have any money to give.\u201d Well, you have something to give – a pair of gloves, a hat, or a scarf, even a pair of jeans you\u2019ve outgrown or a game you\u2019ve grown tired of. These things can be donated to organizations which help the needy.\u00a0<\/span>During this holiday season, let\u2019s all remember:\u00a0<\/span>It is more blessed to give than to receive.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
