{"id":2502,"date":"2018-01-03T18:58:11","date_gmt":"2018-01-03T18:58:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/northeast\/?p=2502"},"modified":"2018-01-03T18:58:11","modified_gmt":"2018-01-03T18:58:11","slug":"announcements-for-january-3-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/northeast\/2018\/01\/03\/announcements-for-january-3-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Announcements for January 3, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fcbkbttn_buttons_block\" id=\"fcbkbttn_left\"><\/div><p>8th GRADE: As the weather turns colder and you are invited in the building before the\u00a08:05am\u00a0bell please keep the following in mind:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You may not go anywhere else in the building without a pass,<\/li>\n<li>Please stand on the green tile only,<\/li>\n<li>Move toward the front of the group to make room for all of the students- Mr. Beck will let you know where to stop.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>DRAMA &amp; AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: The rehearsal schedule for Once Upon a Mattress is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thursday, January 4th\u00a0will be scene 8 (pages 34-36) from\u00a03:10-4:15.\u00a0 This scene features Lady Larkin and Sir Harry.\u00a0 We will meet in the chorus room.<\/li>\n<li>On\u00a0Saturday, January 6th, scene 2 (pages 8-10) will be blocked from\u00a09-10 AM.\u00a0 This scene features Dauntless, Queen, Harry, Minstrel, and Jester.\u00a0 The entire cast will then rehearse from\u00a010:00 until noon.\u00a0 We will be blocking and teaching the song &#8220;Shy&#8221;, so, please review the song, cast members!\u00a0 Please be dressed to dance!\u00a0 Donuts anyone?<\/li>\n<li>After school vocal group members:\u00a0 We will meet again as a group on\u00a0Wednesday, January 17th.\u00a0 This rehearsal is for all Boys Group, Girls Group, and NE Singers.\u00a0 It will last from\u00a03:10 until 4:00.\u00a0 Please see Mrs. Parker with any questions or concerns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>DEBATE CLUB: First winter meeting will be on\u00a0Tuesday Jan. 9th, after school, in room A105. Any returning members do not need to pick up a new form. If you are new please see Mr. Gross in A105 or Ms. Anderson in A204 to get a form. Hope to see you there!<\/p>\n<p>GIRL SCOUTS: The girl scouts will be meeting every\u00a0Friday\u00a0from\u00a03:10-4:05pm\u00a0until\u00a0April 6th.<\/p>\n<p>STEP TEAM: Practice will be on\u00a0January 5th from 3:15 to 5:20pm.<\/p>\n<p>RALLY FOR PEACE: There are\u00a0mandatory after-school meetings for all Rally 4 Peace participants this week.\u00a0Wednesday\u00a0and\u00a0Friday\u00a0in the auditorium and\u00a0Thursday\u00a0in room A300.<\/p>\n<p>WEEK OF PEACE: January 16th-19th\u00a0we will be celebrating the week of peace!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuesday\u00a0(1\/16)-\u00a0\u00a0Pajama Day! Warm up to a new friend, get to know someone different today!\u00a0 Say hey, what\u2019s\u00a0up, hello to someone new!<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday\u00a0(1\/17)-\u00a0\u00a0Put a cap on conflict! Wear your favorite hat to school and pledge to be completely conflict free!<\/li>\n<li>Thursday(1\/18)-\u00a0\u00a0Actions speak louder than words!\u00a0 Wear something school appropriate that represents your favorite action hero &#8211; someone who takes\u00a0action for what\u2019s right.<\/li>\n<li>Friday(1\/19)-\u00a0\u00a0Respect for one another!\u00a0 Wear\u00a0your team t-shirt or team color to represent working together for\u00a0peace!\u00a0 We can always count on each other. This is also our Rally For Peace assembly day!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hope to see everyone supporting peace!<\/p>\n<p>CHESS CLUB: Today starts the first day of the 2nd session of Chess Club for this year. It will run to our normal time of\u00a05:15pm\u00a0after school today in Mr. Spieker&#8217;s room.
