In preparation for the Super Bowl,\u00a0Friday\u00a0will be special. Everyone should wear either green and white to support the Eagles or wear your favorite jersey. You could also wear your teams&#8217; colors! All homerooms with 100% participation will be put in a raffle to win a donut party.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>DEBATE CLUB:\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The next debate club meeting will be on\u00a0February 6th\u00a0after school in room A105. All debaters new and old should attend. Hope to see you there!<\/p>\n<p>STOMP SHOW<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Northeast Stomp Show is\u00a0THIS FRIDAY!\u00a0 It is on\u00a0Friday, February 2nd. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is the Lehigh Valley&#8217;s biggest hip hop dance and step team show!\u00a0 Tickets are on sale during lunch and they are $8.\u00a0 Your ticket price includes a coupon for a delicious hotdog!\u00a0 You can buy the tickets during lunch.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Don&#8217;t let the show sell out!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>GIRL SCOUTS<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The girl scouts will be meeting every\u00a0Friday\u00a0from\u00a03:10-4:05pm\u00a0until\u00a0April 6th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>SPORTS PHYSICALS<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attention any 7th or 8th grade student interested in playing soccer or softball for Northeast this Spring:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You must have a sports physical in order to try-out for the Spring sports teams. If you have not had a sports physical this school year, there will be free sports physicals available.\u00a0<\/span>Spring Sports Physicals dates and locations are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liberty High School &#8211;\u00a02\/8\/18\u00a0&#8211; Auxiliary Gym &#8211;\u00a0\u00a05:00 pm &#8211; 7:30 pm\u00a0&#8211; Cost: FREE<\/li>\n<li>Freedom High School &#8211;\u00a02\/13\/18\u00a0&#8211; Main Gym &#8211;\u00a05:00 pm &#8211; 7:30 pm\u00a0&#8211; Cost: FREE<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">See Mr. Korcienski, Mrs. Jewell, or Mr. Spieker if you have any questions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>BOYS BASKETBALL:\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Congratulations to both the boy&#8217;s varsity and JV basketball teams for their wins over Raub Middle School.\u00a0 The boy&#8217;s varsity had a season high 35 rebounds.\u00a0 Joesph Barnes had 7, Kuwasi Wellington with 9 and Spiderman Harrington with 9 rebounds as well.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The boys are at home today against Harrison Morton.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">GIRLS BASKETBALL: Yesterday (Wednesday) the Lady Hornets played Raub. Varsity pulled out a big win, 54-16.\u00a0They played like a team on a mission, focused and ready.\u00a0 Erin scored 22, and Alexis scored 19.\u00a0 JV won 20-12.\u00a0Their defense was the best it has been all season. Amy, Ahliya, and Olivia all scored 6.\u00a0 We are extremely proud that you all behaved with dignity and class, like true LADY Hornets!\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">WE ARE SO PROUD OF ALL OF YOU!!\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Team work is what we are made of Ladies!!! \u00a0You all make our hearts proud!!!\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Always proud of our sisterhood of hustle and heart!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>FUNDRAISER<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Northeast has accepted the challenge of helping to find a cure for Blood Cancer! We are joining the 3 other Bethlehem middle schools, Liberty and Freedom high school, and over 27,000 schools across the nation to make a difference and raise as much money as we can for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society! From now until\u00a0February 16th\u00a0our school will be working to reach a goal of $1,000. If our school raises over $750, the homeroom that raises the most money will get an Olive Garden lunch! Check the community school bulletin board outside the cafeteria every\u00a0Monday\u00a0for updates on our progress.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*Hello. I\u2019m Hailey Wilson and I\u2019m Nyra Nieves. We are from Leaders Rock and we\u2019re doing a project. Hey sixth graders, can you help? Can you write a pen pal letter to encourage kids that are struggling with cancer? There are 10,590 children ages 1-14 years old that have been diagnosed with cancer already this year. Teachers, please be ready for us to collect them on\u00a0February 2nd. Thank you!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*Join David, Omar, Nelson, Shaaron, and Alexis in helping Puerto Rico in its time for crisis. We hope to see you there!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>TECH GIRLS<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attention 6th and 7th grade girls! In partnership with the YWCA, Tech Gyrls, an after school program for girls, by girl is coming to Northeast! Explore weekly STEM activities, do experiments, and think like a scientist. Tech Gyrls will be Thursdays after school from\u00a0February 22nd to April 19th. Space is limited to the first 20 students that sign up.
