Week of February 25, 2018:\u00a0Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast \u201cShout Out\u201d for this week that ends February and begins the month of March. It is hard to believe that March arrives this week and so do our mid-quarter grades for the 3rd marking period. Please check on your child\u2019s progress through our Student Access Center. Teachers should have uploaded all grades thus far for the third quarter by\u00a0this Tuesday<\/span><\/span>. If you need assistance looking at our child\u2019s grades in the Student Access Center please call the main office at\u00a0610-868-8581<\/a>\u00a0and ask for Mrs. Rodriquez. Please do not wait until the third quarter is complete, because once we enter into April and the PSSA testing season our school year seems like it is almost over. For those parents wishing to set up a conference to talk directly to teachers about their child\u2019s grades please know that you may call your child\u2019s team leader at any time to schedule a conference. Just be reminded that those conferences must occur during the day as that is when there is time in the teachers schedule for these types of meetings to occur.<\/p>\n

This week we are P.R.O.U.D. to celebrate the accomplishments of our eighth grade seminar students and the \u201cWhat\u2019s So Cool about Manufacturing\u201d piece they compiled highlighting the Atlas Machining and Welding Company. The awards ceremony celebrating their hard works is\u00a0this Tuesday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0evening at the SteelStacks. Also\u00a0on Tuesday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0we will be heading out to Bethlehem\u2019s Skating Rink to celebrate our student members of our P.R.O.U.D. Society. It should be a fun morning of ice-skating.<\/p>\n

This week we\u00a0P.R.O.U.D.ly<\/a>\u00a0present our Spring Musical, \u201cGetting to Know Once Upon a Mattress\u201d. Performances are\u00a0Thursday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0evening beginning at\u00a07 p.m.<\/span><\/span>and\u00a0Saturday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0afternoon at\u00a03:00 p.m.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0On Wednesday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Friday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0during the school day we will be hosting most of our elementary feeder\u2019s 5th grade students to a performance of the show. Tickets are available to be purchased for our public performances at the door for this wonderful display of our children\u2019s talent.<\/p>\n

Also\u00a0on Thursday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0a randomly selected group of 8th grade students will have the privilege of being tested by the National Assessment of Education Progress. The assessment for this select group of students will be in the area of computer science and technology. Finally this past week, our NEPTO parents kicked off a spring fundraiser from Cherrydale. The fundraiser end\u00a0March 6th<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and all proceeds get directed back to our children.
