{"id":2959,"date":"2018-08-28T15:21:21","date_gmt":"2018-08-28T15:21:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/northeast\/?p=2959"},"modified":"2018-08-29T14:17:49","modified_gmt":"2018-08-29T14:17:49","slug":"announcements-for-august-28-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/northeast\/2018\/08\/28\/announcements-for-august-28-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Announcements for August 28, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fcbkbttn_buttons_block\" id=\"fcbkbttn_left\"><\/div><p><strong>Welcome all sixth graders!\u00a0 We are glad to share our Northeast Pride with all of you!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>BREAKFAST<\/strong>: Early morning breakfast will begin\u00a0Tuesday,\u00a0August 28, 2018.\u00a0 Breakfast will begin at\u00a07:40am.\u00a0 Any student interested should report to the cafeteria and check in with Mr. Anderko and Mr. Katynski.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS:\u00a0<\/strong>Returning NE Singers members:\u00a0 please see Mrs. Parker briefly after school on either\u00a0Wednesday, August 29thor\u00a0Thursday, August 30thfor a check of your singing register as well as important NEBOPO information regarding this year&#8217;s Music in the Parks trip.\u00a0 Can&#8217;t wait to see you!\u00a0 If you cannot attend either of those days, please see Mrs. Parker ASAP or contact her via Schoology.\u00a0 Be ready for a great year ahead!<\/p>\n<p>If you wish be in one of the after school vocal groups, you must audition.\u00a0 To audition for Boys Group, Girls Group, or NE Singers, please report to the chorus room on one of the following days:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wednesday, September 5th from 3:15-4:30<\/li>\n<li>Thursday, September 6th from 3:15-4:00<\/li>\n<li>Friday, September 7th from 3:15-4:00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please remember &#8211; you must be a member of chorus in order to be a member of any of the after-school groups. Hope to see you for auditions!\u00a0 Get involved!<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACTIVITY DAYS (DAYS 1 &amp;4) CHORUSES:\u00a0<\/strong>Students who are interested in singing in our chorus will be hearing sign up information shortly.\u00a0 Remember &#8211; the chorus meets during activity period and has two concerts: one in December and one in May.\u00a0 First chorus rehearsal will be on\u00a0Monday, September 24th.\u00a0 Signups will happen during homeroom in the next few weeks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DRAMA &#8211; NEMS THEATRE COMPANY:\u00a0<\/strong>Students who attended our Lion King rehearsal last Wednesday&#8230;thank YOU for your time and talent!\u00a0 You made it a BLAST!<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in trying out for this year&#8217;s musical Disney&#8217;s\u00a0<em>The Lion King Jr.<\/em>, there will be a rehearsal on\u00a0Thursday, August 30th, from\u00a06-7:30 PM\u00a0in our auditorium.\u00a0 Please be dressed to dance &#8211; no flip flops, please&#8230;sneakers are best to move in.\u00a0 We will be both singing and learning African text as well.\u00a0 If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Parker.\u00a0 This is NOT an audition&#8230;those will take place at the end of October. Hope you can join us\u00a0this Thursday!<\/p>\n<p><strong>DROP OFF TABLE<\/strong>: Student Services has a drop off table.\u00a0 If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up.\u00a0Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass.\u00a0 If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BOXTOPS<\/strong>: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Derrington or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SAFE TO TELL<\/strong>: It&#8217;s SAFE to Tell.&#8221; \u00a0The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner\u00a0<strong>to help remove any and all barriers<\/strong>\u00a0to education.\u00a0 You can refer your friends or yourself.\u00a0 Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t worry, &#8220;It&#8217;s Safe To Tell.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISMISSAL:\u00a0<\/strong>Students please note that you are not permitted to remain in the building after dismissal unless you are involved in an activity.
