There will be an electronic copy of the Mid Quarter Progress report available for viewing through the Home Access Center (HAC) this Friday, the 5th. The official mid point for the quarter was the 28.th If you need assistance or access to your Home Access Center (HAC) information, please call the main office at 610-868-8581 and ask for Mrs. Rodriquez. As we have stated on numerous occasions, please access your child’s grades and progress daily on the Home Access Center (HAC) in order to keep updated and informed of your child’s progress. All teachers are using Schoology on a regular basis and this student information system is excellent in providing information on your child’s daily progress in classes. Should you have any concerns about your child’s progress and grades, please do not hesitate to get in touch with your child’s guidance counselor or team leader. We will be having a parent training on the use of Schoology during this month’s NEPTO meeting on the 17th. More will follow regarding this parent training.

This week is rather quiet here at Northeast regarding evening events. One thing we want to emphasize this week as we are getting into full swing with our before and after school activities and clubs is communication. If your child is involved in one of our “extra-curricular” activities please communicate with one another the particulars of the activity and ways and means of pick up or drop off here at school. With so much happening it is important that parents know the details of what the children are doing and how they are getting to and from the activity in which they are involved. Another thing we will be emphasizing this week with our students is our emergency preparedness. We typically do not inform parents when emergency drills are being conducted for security reasons, but we want you to know about our “Lock In” drill that we will be conducting this week. A letter will be sent home with all of our children tomorrow, Monday, providing a general overview of how we will be conducting this school-wide drill this week.

Due to the rain we had to postpone our Northeast P.R.O.U.D. – a –thon originally planned for this past Friday. We will be holding it later this week on a hopefully beautiful weather day.

Finally we end our “Shout Out” with our schedule for our fall sports teams. Our field hockey team plays twice this week. On Monday our girls our home against Lower Macungie and on Wednesday they play at Nitschmann. Volleyball also plays twice this week with a home game against Eyer on Tuesday and an away game against Whitehall on Thursday. Also on Thursday our Cross Country runners have a meet at Parkland. Finishing out the week our Football team plays at Nitschmann on Saturday at 9 a.m. To cheer on all of our fall sports team we will be holding a pep rally on Friday afternoon to show our school spirit.

Have a great remainder to your weekend

Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for the first full week of October.
