The BASD along with St. Lukes is offering an opportunity for you to get your physical completed absolutely free &#8211; on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 5:00-7:00PM at Liberty&#8217;s Memorial Gym. Physical packets can be picked up at the Main Office, Student Services, or in Mr. Korcienski&#8217;s room A107. Any student who played a previous sport this year on needs a reevaluation form filled out and returned to Mr. Korcienski. If you have any questions please see Mr. Korcienski in room A 107.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NORTHEAST THEATRE COMPANY FUNDRAISER:<\/strong> Join us for a pancake breakfast this weekend at Tocci&#8217;s!\u00a0 Tickets are only $6 and proceeds help to fund this year&#8217;s production of Disney&#8217;s The Lion King Jr.!\u00a0 Hope to see you there from 9-11 AM at Tocci&#8217;s Tailgaters Pub and Grill!<\/p>\n<p><strong>SIXTH GRADE FUNDRAISER: <\/strong>Attention All 6th Grade Northeast students!!!\u00a0 Students in the 6th grade class will be holding a 3 on 3 basketball tournament fundraiser of which all proceeds will benefit the New Bethany Ministries to help the less fortunate.\u00a0 The 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be held during periods 8 and 9 at a date to be determined. If you are interested in participating and entering a team into the tournament please see Jahsi Cole and Dywane Chess or Mr. Callahan to sign your team up. The winning team will be awarded a free Pizza Party.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACTIVITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CHESS CLUB:<\/strong> Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 20th. We will not be meeting this week.<\/li>\n<li><strong>WYLDLIFE CLUB:<\/strong> Interested in learning about a new club starting at Northeast this week?\u00a0 Information about WyldLife will be distributed during lunch time. Our first meeting will be Thursday, February 14 after the end of the 11:30am school day. See Mrs. Parker with any questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>THE ARTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: <\/strong>There are no after school vocal groups this coming week&#8230;please turn in your All City Middle School Chorus purple form as soon as possible.\u00a0 If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Parker&#8230;thank you!<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>DRAMA REHEARSALS: <\/strong>The rehearsal schedule for the upcoming week is as follows:\n<ul>\n<li>Friday, February 14th, 2-4pm &#8211; Rehearsal for the following characters: Rafiki, Mufasa, Young and Adult Simba, Young and Adult Nala, Sarabi, Scar, Banzai, Shenzi, Ed, Timon, Pumbaa, Zazu, all lionesses, and all hyenas.\u00a0 Thank you for your flexibility!<\/li>\n<li>Saturday, February 16th &#8211; all cast from 9:00-noon<\/li>\n<li>Monday, February 18th -all cast from noon until 3 PM &#8211;\u00a0this is a change due to the number of students who are attending the Honor Roll Skating Trip&#8230;congratulations to all of you!\u00a0\u00a0Please get this change on your schedule ASAP.\u00a0 This takes the place of the Tuesday, February 19th after school rehearsal.<\/li>\n<li>Ad forms, biographies, permission slips for Broughal&#8217;s production of the Little Mermaid, and more are due ASAP&#8230;please see Mrs. Parker if you need any of these forms.<\/li>\n<li>Please be sure that you have homework and\/or your script with you during these times so that you can always be working on something should there be any down time.\u00a0 How are you doing academically?\u00a0 Please be sure you are on top of your work&#8230;talk with your teachers and check Schoology frequently.\u00a0 Thank you for your time and talent!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>LIBERTY GRENADIER MAJORETTE TRYOUTS:<\/strong> Tues. Feb. 19, 2019 after school at Liberty HS in the band room.\u00a0 The candidates trying out will be responsible for learning a 64-count Liberty High School routine AND developing a 32-48 count routine of their own.\u00a0\u00a0The practice\u00a0and\u00a0try-out will be held on\u00a0Tues. Feb. 19, 2019, beginning immediately following your school\u00a0day.\u00a0 Music is optional if they wish to bring it.\u00a0Please have students bring a copy of their\u00a0most recent report card\u00a0to the try-out.\u00a0\u00a0Students\u00a0MUST march\u00a0during their entire try-out. (They should march during our routine &amp; their routine.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ATHLETICS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>BOYS BASKETBALL:<\/strong> Attention ALL 2018-19 boy&#8217;s basketball team members.\u00a0 There will be no practice today.\u00a0 Please meet Coach Carlstrom next Tuesday in the Main Gym at 3:15pm for pizza prior to the Semi Final game.\u00a0 All players should wear their shooting shirts during the school day.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SOCCER:<\/strong> Attention All Northeast Soccer Players! Please take advantage of the FREE PHYSICALS ON TUESDAY FEB. 19TH AT LIBERTY. ALSO, there will be an interest meeting for all 7th and 8th grade girls and boys about up coming Open Gyms, Physicals, and Tryouts for the Northeast Soccer team next week ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 20 with Coach Spieker.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DROP OFF TABLE<\/strong>: Student Services has a drop off table.\u00a0 If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up.\u00a0Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass.\u00a0 If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BOXTOPS<\/strong>: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher.
