JUDE CHILDREN&#8217;S RESEARCH HOSPITAL<\/strong>: Attention all sixth graders of Northeast Middle School! There will be an\u00a0art and craft\u00a0period for anyone who brings\u00a0$3. The date will be announced soon. The activity will take place inside the classroom A211. Make sure to bring your money there. This event is to support the\u00a0St. Jude Children\u2019s Research Hospital\u00a0that focuses their studies on helping children with cancer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACTIVITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CHESS CLUB:<\/strong> Our next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 12th in room A103. Please remember to bring your pizza money to Mr. Wynn before Tuesday. See you there!<\/li>\n<li><strong>MATH NERDS:<\/strong>Attention all students interested in joining Math Nerds.\u00a0 Math Nerds is an interactive club that meets every Wednesday in Mr. Sonntag\u2019s room, A305. We complete brain teasers and have lots of fun while being simultaneously frustrated.\u00a0 Come to Math Nerds and get challenged!\u00a0 Permission slips are available and students can join any time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>RUNNING CLUB:<\/strong> Do you enjoy running?\u00a0 Do you want to stay in shape or get in shape for any summer sport teams?\u00a0 Well if you do then join the Northeast Running Club.\u00a0\u00a0We will meet by the Health room Monday and Wednesday from 3:05-4:10PM starting March 18th.\u00a0 Come meet Ms. Tandy and Ms. Ayre in room A106 on March 8th right after school to hear about the Running Club and pick up a permission form.\u00a0\u00a0All are welcomed.\u00a0\u00a0Hope to see you on the 8t<strong>h.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB: <\/strong>The next meetings are Wednesday, March 13th and Thursday, March 14th after school in room A103. Hope to see you there!<\/li>\n<li><strong>ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE CLUB:<\/strong> Our end of club party will be on Monday, March 11th.\u00a0 You must bring a treat to share and be prepared to present your slideshow presentation on your virus in order to attend the party.\u00a0 If your presentation is not complete, please work on it before Monday so you can attend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>THE ARTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: <\/strong>The after school vocal groups schedule is as follows. Please see Mrs. Parker with any questions or concerns.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Mon March 11 \u2013 3:10-4pm All Vocal Groups<\/li>\n<li>Wed March 13 \u2013 3:10-5pm Showing of Musical-All cast, stage crew &amp; world percussion members<\/li>\n<li>Thurs March 14 \u2013 3:10-4pm All Vocal Groups<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>ATHLETICS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>LIBERTY CHEERLEADING- UPDATE: <\/strong>Attention 8th graders! 8th graders interested in Liberty High School cheerleading due to conflict with upcoming doctor\u2019s appointments. The meeting is changed to Monday, March 11 right after school. \u00a0Meet in the Health room.\u00a0If you have\u00a0any questions please see Mr. Korcienski in room A107.<\/li>\n<li><strong>NORTHEAST CHEERLEADING:<\/strong> Cheer Tryouts for next year will begin on April 10th in the Main Gym from 3:30-5:30. All upcoming 7th and 8th graders welcome to tryout!<\/li>\n<li><strong>SOCCER:<\/strong> Attention Northeast Soccer Players, Soccer Tryouts will be everyday after school today March 11 to the 22nd. All players must bring their Section 7 or complete physicals forms to hand in. For all those students that came to see Mr. Spieker on Wednesday this week about being a Manager for the Soccer team, please see him in room A108 on the 7th grade floor after morning announcements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DROP OFF TABLE<\/strong>: Student Services has a drop off table.\u00a0 If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up.\u00a0Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass.\u00a0 If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BOXTOPS<\/strong>: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Derrington or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SAFE TO TELL<\/strong>: It&#8217;s SAFE to Tell.&#8221; \u00a0The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner\u00a0to help remove any and all barriers\u00a0to education.\u00a0 You can refer your friends or yourself.\u00a0 Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t worry, &#8220;It&#8217;s Safe To Tell.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SIXTH GRADE FUNDRAISER FOR ST.
