Then join our football tournament this Wednesday, March 13th in the auxiliary gym at 3:05 to 4:05. We are playing 2-Hand-touch football. It costs $5 to play. The winning team will receive an ice cream cake party. We\u2019re doing this fundraiser for the kids with cancer. And remember, wear sneakers. See you on Wednesday! Thank you for your help!<\/p>\n<p><strong>SIXTH GRADE FUNDRAISER FOR ST. JUDE CHILDREN&#8217;S RESEARCH HOSPITAL<\/strong>: Attention all sixth graders of Northeast Middle School! There will be an\u00a0art and craft\u00a0period for anyone who brings\u00a0$3. The date will be announced soon. The activity will take place inside the classroom A211. Make sure to bring your money there. This event is to support the\u00a0St. Jude Children\u2019s Research Hospital\u00a0that focuses their studies on helping children with cancer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACTIVITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CHESS CLUB:<\/strong> Our next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 12th in room A103. Please remember to bring your pizza money to Mr. Wynn before Tuesday. See you there!<\/li>\n<li><strong>MATH NERDS:<\/strong>Attention all students interested in joining Math Nerds.\u00a0 Math Nerds is an interactive club that meets every Wednesday in Mr. Sonntag\u2019s room, A305. We complete brain teasers and have lots of fun while being simultaneously frustrated.\u00a0 Come to Math Nerds and get challenged!\u00a0 Permission slips are available and students can join any time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>RUNNING CLUB:<\/strong> Do you enjoy running?\u00a0 Do you want to stay in shape or get in shape for any summer sport teams?\u00a0 Well if you do then join the Northeast Running Club.\u00a0\u00a0We will meet by the Health room Monday and Wednesday from 3:05-4:10PM starting March 18th.\u00a0 Come meet Ms. Tandy and Ms. Ayre in room A106 on March 8th right after school to hear about the Running Club and pick up a permission form.\u00a0\u00a0All are welcomed.\u00a0\u00a0Hope to see you on the 8t<strong>h.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB: <\/strong>The next meetings are Wednesday, March 13th and Thursday, March 14th after school in room A103. Please hand in your Lion King script to Mrs. Parker as soon as you can&#8230;bring it to Wednesday&#8217;s viewing of the musical!\u00a0\u00a0If you wish to keep it, you must pay $12.\u00a0\u00a0Please see Mrs. Parker with any questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ATHLETICS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>NORTHEAST CHEERLEADING:<\/strong> Cheer Tryouts for next year will begin on April 10th in the Main Gym from 3:30-5:30. All upcoming 7th and 8th graders welcome to tryout!<\/li>\n<li><strong>SOCCER:<\/strong> Attention Northeast Soccer Players, Soccer Tryouts will be everyday after school today March 11 to the 22nd. All players must bring their Section 7 or complete physicals forms to hand in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DROP OFF TABLE<\/strong>: Student Services has a drop off table.\u00a0 If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up.\u00a0Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass.\u00a0 If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BOXTOPS<\/strong>: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Derrington or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SAFE TO TELL<\/strong>: It&#8217;s SAFE to Tell.&#8221; \u00a0The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner\u00a0to help remove any and all barriers\u00a0to education.\u00a0 You can refer your friends or yourself.\u00a0 Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t worry, &#8220;It&#8217;s Safe To Tell.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SIXTH GRADE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER: 6th grade are you interested in playing football?
