We want to help animals in need. By doing that we are having a day where you pay\u00a0<\/span>$4.00 to eat lunch outside<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">! All donations will be given to an animal organization called ASPCA. This day will take place next Friday, April 4th. Thank you and see you outside for lunch! Don&#8217;t miss it!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>ACTIVITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>DICS GOLFING:\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attention disc golfers: Our first meeting will be held on Tuesday,\u00a0 April 2nd. We will meet in room A103. See you there!\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>MATH NERDS:\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Math nerds will return next Wednesday, April 3rd.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB:<\/strong> The next meeting will be on Thursday, April 11th after school in B201. Please don&#8217;t forget, see everyone there!<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ATHLETICS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CHEERLEADING:<\/strong> Cheer Tryouts for next year will begin on April 10th in the Main Gym from 3:30-5:30. All upcoming 7th and 8th graders welcome to tryout!<\/li>\n<li><strong>SOFTBALL:<\/strong>The Lady Hornets Softball Team stunned Nazareth on Friday afternoon, bringing home their 3rd straight win!\u00a0 The girls played hard all game, but were losing by 4 going into their last at bats.\u00a0 They sent 15 batters to the plate that inning, scoring 9 runs to take the lead!\u00a0 Smart at bats set the stage for slugger Molly Devers to blow the game open with a bases loaded triple.\u00a0 Solid defense in the bottom of the 7th inning sealed the 16-11 victory.\u00a0 The team will look to continue their win streak against district rival East Hills at home on Tuesday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DROP OFF TABLE<\/strong>: Student Services has a drop off table.\u00a0 If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up.\u00a0Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass.\u00a0 If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BOXTOPS<\/strong>: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Derrington or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SAFE TO TELL<\/strong>: It&#8217;s SAFE to Tell.&#8221; \u00a0The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner\u00a0to help remove any and all barriers\u00a0to education.\u00a0 You can refer your friends or yourself.\u00a0 Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t worry, &#8220;It&#8217;s Safe To Tell.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SIXTH GRADE &#8220;ASPCA FUNDRAISER&#8221;:\u00a0Attention 6th graders!
