Cadets will be required to attend the Academy every weekday for a 2 week period. The Academy runs from June 10 thru June 21.\u00a0 Speak with officer Elias for more details and to pick up an application.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>PROUD POUND REDEMPTIONS<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: The final day to turn in Proud Pounds for all students is May 15th during lunch.\u00a0Please bring your Proud Pounds to lunch on May 15th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>ACTIVITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>MATH NERDS:<\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attention all math nerds or wanna-be nerds. If you would like to join us for a good time with brain teasers and puzzles come to Mr. Sonntag\u2019s room, A305, on Wednesdays. We meet from 3:05 &#8211; 4:25pm.\u00a0 We will meet one last time on May 15th. If you have questions please see Mrs. Papagni in B305.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>TRACK &amp; FIELD:\u00a0<\/strong>Reminder to all track and field participants: Tuesday, May 14th we will meet at the hornet after 8th period to walk to the Liberty track. Remember to bring your sneakers, a change of\u00a0clothes and water. The Soccer team will play under the lights at Liberty High School to battle against East Hills for the City Championship. Come out and cheer on our Green Hornets! The game will start at 6:30pm. Concession stands will be open, so please bring money. Go Hornets!<\/li>\n<li><strong>SOCCER-PART B:<\/strong> The Northeast Soccer Team must remember to wash their jerseys and shorts Monday night and bring them for the Soccer Team Pizza Party. In order to enjoy the snacks and pizza party, they must&#8230;MUST, bring their jerseys and shorts clean after school to Coach Spieker. Please be there for special recognitions and awards to be given out.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SOCCER-PART C:<\/strong> Congrats to the Northeast Soccer Team for Beating Nitschmann Middle School on Friday after the Proud-a-thon on their new Turf Field. It was a big game. Whoever wins that game goes to the championship. Owen Cassel was awesome at goalie and kept them in the game. The Hornets had a 1 goal lead at halftime, but in the second half, they were able to put those Quite Lions away. The Northeast Soccer Varsity Team won 3 to Zero. All three goals were made by Williams Castillo which made it his 3rd Hat trick of the year! There were 2 assists made each by Bennie Villeda and Jeffrey White. The JV battled but with a 1 to 1 tie with a few minutes left, let a goal in and lost 1 to 2. The goal was by Natalya Teran with an assist by Ali Altimemy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DROP OFF TABLE<\/strong>: Student Services has a drop off table.\u00a0 If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up.\u00a0Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass.\u00a0 If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BOXTOPS<\/strong>: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher.
