Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. This is the start of what we will weekly call our \u201cNortheast Sunday Shout Out\u201d. Each Sunday afternoon when school is in session, whether in person or virtually, you will be receiving these messages as we attempt to keep our families and friends better informed of our school happenings and events. In addition, we encourage you to stay informed of what is happening here at Northeast by looking online as we post our daily announcements on our website.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our<\/span> first day of school is tomorrow, Monday, August 31<\/span>st<\/span> and this day is only for our 6<\/span>th<\/span> grade students.\u00a0 7<\/span>th<\/span> and 8<\/span>th<\/span> grade hybrid students as well as e-learning students will have introductory lessons pushed out by their teachers for this first academic day.\u00a0 Sixth grade e-learning and hybrid children will be provided a live in-person orientation to Northeast with all teachers helping to welcome our youngest students to our school.\u00a0 Students whose last name begins with A through L will be provided this orientation from 8:05 a.m. to 10:05 a.m. and students whose last name begins with M through Z will be welcomed here at school from 1:05 p.m. to 3:05 p.m.\u00a0 During these designated times students will be provided with information about their online learning and Schoology, introduced to all of their teachers, provided with their Chromebooks and issued their ID cards.\u00a0 Sixth grade E-learning students are invited to attend this orientation in person but are not required to attend. If they wish not to attend, e-learning students may pick up their materials including their books, schedules and Chromebook outside the cafeteria entrance between the hours of 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.\u00a0 7<\/span>th<\/span> and 8<\/span>th<\/span> grade e-learning students may pick up their materials tomorrow between the hours of 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.\u00a0 Letters were mailed to all e-learning students earlier this month.\u00a0 Children attending our school in our hybrid model will receive their materials on their first attendance day at school.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With the beginning of the school year, please be sure to pay attention to the significant amount of information we send home with much of it being sent home electronically during the first days of school. Also, parents as we start our school year please stay informed with how your child is doing by making it a habit to view your child\u2019s grades online using our parent access center for Schoology, StudySync and eSchool. If you are unsure of how that works or need to obtain your login information, please call our main office and ask for Mrs. Rodriquez. She will guide you through the process. Finally, please mark your calendar for our virtual \u201cOpen House\u201d this Thursday, September 3rd at 6:00 p.m. We will be pushing out our video first and then our teams will be sending out links to meet with parents \u201cvirtually\u201d beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thank you and have a great remainder to your weekend!<\/span><\/p>\n
