The school <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">store will be open on day 2 of each <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">cycle. We have plenty of school supplies<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">at a very low cost to you and a limited <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">selection of Northeast Spirit wear at a<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">discounted price. So ask your homeroom <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">teachers to come on down and check out<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Northeast&#8217;s school store!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>ACTIVITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><b>D<\/b><b>ANCE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Try outs for dance team start next week! <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They will be Tuesday and Wednesday, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">October 13th and 14th. Students that are <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">interested please fill out the Google form <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">on Mr. Huie&#8217;s schoology page.<\/span> If there are any questions, please contract Mr. Huie as soon as possible.<\/li>\n<li><b>CHORUS:<\/b><b> <\/b>Day 1 A and B is a 7th and 8th grade \u00a0chorus day&#8230;looking forward to seeing you\u00a0 during Hornet Block! <b>8th grade <\/b>chorus\u00a0 students who are also members of Mr.\u00a0 Huie&#8217;s world percussion ensemble are to\u00a0 report to Mr. Huie on day 1A and 1B. Be\u00a0 sure to check in an pick up chorus music\u00a0 from Mrs. Parker before you head to your \u00a02nd period class. Thank you! Please get there as soon as <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">you can, there is a lot to do!<\/span> Thanks for everyone for trying out, it was \u00a0a tough decision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>THOUGHT OF THE DAY<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Every day we pause for one minute and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">listen to the wisdom of others. We do this <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">because it&#8217;s important to educate our minds <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">as well as our hearts if we are going to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">become successful human beings.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Now listen to what Ben Franklin has to say:<\/span> <em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Without freedom of thought, there can be <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><em>no such thing as wisdom.<\/em> In other words, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">our freedom of thought allows us to think <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">about our choices. And because we have <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">this freedom to think for ourselves, we can <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">decide what&#8217;s really important to life&#8230; <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">what&#8217;s right and what&#8217;s wrong&#8230; What&#8217;s <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">wise and what&#8217;s foolish&#8230; what&#8217;s responsible <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and what&#8217;s not. In a nutshell, our freedom <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">of thoughts allows us to make wiser <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">choices. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Today, exercise your freedom to think before you choose and you&#8217;ll choose more wisely. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>BREAKFAST<\/b>: <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attention all students: The cafeteria is now serving free breakfast and lunch meals for all students every day until the end of December. You heard that right&#8230; free breakfast and lunch meals! All students automatically qualify and no form needs to be submitted. Take advantage of this program and join us in the cafeteria for your free breakfast and lunch each day that you are in school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>LUNCH<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: Students can drop off money for deposit in the morning to the breakfast cashier or Mrs. Cabrera. The money or check must be in an envelope with the student&#8217;s name and ID number. All funds will be deposited onto student accounts after the breakfast service. Cashiers <\/span><b>will not <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">accept cash during lunch.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SAFE: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It&#8217;s SAFE to Tell.&#8221; The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you. Don&#8217;t worry, &#8220;It&#8217;s Safe To Tell.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>DISMISSAL<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: Students please note that you are not permitted to remain in the building after dismissal unless you are involved in an activity. If you are waiting for a friend please wait outside the building.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>WATER FOUNTAINS<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: Water fountains are only to be used to fill up water bottles and not to be used for getting drinks. Students are allowed to bring a water bottle with them every day and are encouraged to do so!
