Help make <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">someone&#8217;s winter warmer by donating <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">your <\/span><em>gently used <\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">coats and jackets. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Donations can be dropped off in Student <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Services. Questions? See Mrs. Bush in <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Student Services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>PROUD SOCIETY:<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Good morning Northeast. We are excited to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">kick off our proud society events this year<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">with our first taking place in December. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We will hold an ice cream and movie social <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in the auditorium for the first 20 students <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">who earn entry into the Proud Society. In<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">addition, you will receive a free Northeast<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Proud T-shirt. So, check your Schoology<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">profile for your virtual hornet fives and<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">proud pounds and when you have enough to<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">enter, fill out the online application form<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">provided by your homeroom teachers.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Please see Mr. Wynn in A103 or your <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">homeroom teachers with any questions.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Have a wonderful day!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>STUDENT LEADERSHIP DRIVE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Baby it\u2019s cold outside!! We will be practicing with<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">the WHOLE chorus, A-Z. If so, join Northeast&#8217;s\u00a0 Reading Olympic team! Together we will \u00a0read popular books and prepare to\u00a0 compete in a Jeopardy-style competition.\u00a0 This club will meet during Hornet Block \u00a0on Day 2. All \u00a0Permission Forms are due Friday Dec. 18th.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>THOUGHT OF THE DAY<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">How many times have you sat in the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">bleachers and booed a football player who <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">fumbled the ball? Or maybe you were a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">good sport and kept your mouth shut but <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">said to yourself ,\u201d what an idiot!\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Theodore Roosevelt, our 26th president, \u00a0was known as a person of action. He said: <em>It is not the critic who counts ; not the <\/em><em>\u00a0man who points out how the strong men \u00a0stumbled, or where the doer of deeds \u00a0could have done them better. the credit \u00a0belongs to the man who is actually in the\u00a0arena.<\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Today, remember this: If you are active,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and doing your best- weather it\u2019s with <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">your studies or sports, or other activities <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8211; you deserve a great deal of credit for <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">fully participating in the game of life. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When you stumble, don\u2019t let sideline <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">critics discourage your efforts. Instead, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">give yourself a pat on the back for being <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in the game and not on the sidelines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>BREAKFAST<\/b>: <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attention all students: The cafeteria is now serving free breakfast and lunch meals for all students every day until the end of December. You heard that right&#8230; free breakfast and lunch meals! All students automatically qualify and no form needs to be submitted. Take advantage of this program and join us in the cafeteria for your free breakfast and lunch each day that you are in school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>LUNCH<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: Students can drop off money for deposit in the morning to the breakfast cashier or Mrs. Cabrera. The money or check must be in an envelope with the student&#8217;s name and ID number. All funds will be deposited onto student accounts after the breakfast service. Cashiers <\/span><b>will not <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">accept cash during lunch.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SAFE: <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It&#8217;s SAFE to Tell. The SAFE Team exists<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">to help students with problems in a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">confidential manner to help remove any and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">all barriers to education. You can refer <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">your friends or yourself. It&#8217;s now safer and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">easier to tell: just fill out the SAFE to Tell <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">form which you can find ONLINE in your <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">guidance counselor&#8217;s resources folder.
