Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast \u201cShout Out\u201d for the week of January 24<\/span>th<\/span>. Our 1<\/span>st<\/span> semester and 2<\/span>nd<\/span> quarter officially end on Friday, so believe it or not, our year is halfway over.\u00a0 We all wish this second half of the year will provide us with more in-person learning time than we had during the first half, but much will depend on the vaccine and the course this darn virus will take us. With the second semester we begin many of the activities associated with moving students from grade to grade. The most notable transition is that for our eighth graders. This week students will be finish up their course selection process prior to the visit by their Liberty High School counselors during the first week of February. Exciting times for our 8<\/span>th<\/span> grade class as they begin that great journey through high school. Other school events this week include our reschedule Band Parent meeting Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Please be on the lookout for the link to this meeting.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In athletics this week we begin the tryouts for both our boys and girls\u2019 basketball teams. Any 7<\/span>th<\/span> or 8<\/span>th<\/span> grade student wishing to tryout must have a completed physical packet. Should any student have any questions, they should reach out to our athletic director, Mr. Korcienski, or one of the coaches. Have a great remainder to your weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n

Buenas tardes Familias y Amigos de Noreste. Nuestro primer semestre y segundo trimestre terminan oficialmente el viernes, as\u00ed que lo creas o no, nuestro a\u00f1o est\u00e1 a la mitad. Todos deseamos que esta segunda mitad del a\u00f1o nos proporcione m\u00e1s tiempo de aprendizaje en persona que durante la primera mitad, pero mucho depender\u00e1 de la vacuna y del curso que nos lleve este horrible virus. Con el segundo semestre comenzamos muchas de las actividades asociadas con el traslado de estudiantes de un grado a otro. La transici\u00f3n m\u00e1s notable es la de nuestros alumnos de octavo grado. Esta semana, los estudiantes terminar\u00e1n su proceso de selecci\u00f3n de cursos antes de la visita de sus consejeros de Liberty High School durante la primera semana de febrero. Tiempos emocionantes para nuestra clase de octavo grado al comenzar ese gran viaje a trav\u00e9s de la escuela secundaria. Otros eventos escolares de esta semana incluyen nuestra reprogramaci\u00f3n de la reuni\u00f3n de padres de banda el mi\u00e9rcoles por la noche a las 7:00 p.m. Est\u00e9 atento al enlace a esta reuni\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>En atletismo, esta semana comenzamos las pruebas para nuestros equipos de baloncesto masculino y femenino. Cualquier estudiante de s\u00e9ptimo u octavo grado que desee hacer una prueba debe tener un paquete f\u00edsico completo. Si alg\u00fan estudiante tiene alguna pregunta, debe comunicarse con nuestro director atl\u00e9tico, el Sr. Korcienski, o con uno de los entrenadores.
