Good afternoon Northeast Families and Friends. Here is our Northeast \u201cShout Out\u201d for the last full school week of March and first days of Spring!\u00a0 Having Spring in the air is always nice. To have that extra daylight after school is wonderful, but please remember that homework still is given and our children are expected to be completing their online assignments when they are not in school. We worry that with Spring we also compete with the weather and with a child\u2019s desire to be outside. This year we worry even more after being pinned inside for such a long time because of Covid. Speaking of Covid, please continue to focus on good mitigation practices including the wearing of a mask when outside of the home and also maintaining social distancing and good hygiene. Hopefully we are rounding the corner of this very stubborn virus, and now is not the time to let our guard down.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The pandemic has impacted our PSSA testing this year, and as a result our district has decided to delay our annual state testing until the end of May. A FAQ<\/span> for Parents about the PSSA\u2019s and Keystone Exams was sent home with all children attending school this past week, and copies of this can be found on our school website. Should you have questions not answered in the FAQ, please reach out to your child\u2019s counselor or team leader to inquire further. In other news, we start to visit our incoming 6<\/span>th<\/span> grade students with visits to Lincoln and Marvine this week.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

In sports this week our softball and soccer teams are beginning the arduous task of finalizing their lineups and preparing for their first games after Spring break. We continue to commend all of the students that are playing and wish them the best, whether it be on the field or in the classroom.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Buenas tardes Familias y Amigos de Northeast. Tener la primavera en el aire siempre es bueno. Tener esa luz adicional despu\u00e9s de la escuela es maravilloso, pero recuerde que todav\u00eda se dan tareas y se espera que nuestros estudiantes completen sus tareas en l\u00ednea cuando no est\u00e1n en la escuela. Nos preocupa que con la primavera estaremos compitiendo con el clima y el deseo de los estudiantes estar afuera. Este a\u00f1o nos preocupamos a\u00fan m\u00e1s despu\u00e9s de estar atrapados adentro durante tanto tiempo debido a Covid. Hablando de Covid, contin\u00fae enfoc\u00e1ndose en las buenas pr\u00e1cticas de mitigaci\u00f3n, incluido el uso de una m\u00e1scara cuando est\u00e9 fuera del hogar y tambi\u00e9n en mantener el distanciamiento social y la buena higiene. Ojal\u00e1 estemos cerca del final de este virus y ahora no es el momento de bajar la guardia.<\/span><\/p>\n
