GIRLS SOFTBALL:<\/strong> Our lady Hornets softball team played a <\/span>tough game against Northampton <\/span>last Thursday. Addy Smith pitched a great <\/span>game with multiple strikeouts. Ellie <\/span>Rumbalski had a great line drive to the <\/span>outfield, and our defense was strong. <\/span>Briana Ramos made a great catch at third <\/span>base and Kaelyn Rios made an awesome <\/span>play at second. Great job ladies! Our Lady <\/span>Hornets have a home game Monday against <\/span>Nitschmann. Come out and support our Hornets!<\/span><\/p>\n

LIBERTY BAGPIPES: For any student interested in learning the<\/span> bagpipes for the Liberty High School Band, <\/span>there will be an introductory session this <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>coming Thursday at 3:30pm in the Liberty <\/span>HS band room. Sessions will be held each<\/span> Thursday from 3:30 – 4:30. Students are<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>encouraged to have a practice chanter, but <\/span>some will be available if you do not have<\/span> one. If you are interested, but cannot<\/span> attend, please email Mr. Allen Frank at<\/span> afrank@basdschools.org<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

LIBERTY FOOTBALL:<\/strong> Attention all 8th grade football players <\/span>going into 9th grade, there will be no <\/span>lifting at the Ilicks Mills Rink today. The<\/span> equipment has not been delivered or set <\/span>up for your use. Please make sure you<\/span> have checked your email for the Team <\/span>Snap invite. Coach has sent these out and <\/span>is going to use this to communicate with<\/span> you!<\/span><\/p>\n

LIBERTY MAJORETTES:<\/strong> Majorette tryouts for Liberty High School <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>will be held on Wednesday, May 19th at<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>3:30pm at Liberty! If you are interested<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>in auditioning, please see Mr. Rupnik in the <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>band room for more information.<\/span><\/p>\n

READING OLYMPICS:<\/strong> Congratulations to the 2021 Northeast <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Reading Olympics team, the masterminds <\/span>behind a round two victory. Zoe Toledo, <\/span>Justin Park, and Casey Huie were lightning <\/span>quick with their recall of facts from 25 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>challenging novels. It was a tough <\/span>competition, and they gave it their all. <\/span>Great job!<\/span><\/p>\n

TALENT SHOW: Mr Huie is starting to think about the <\/span>talent show! It’s an end-of-the-year <\/span>tradition. This year it will be virtual, <\/span>though. Think about an act that you can <\/span>do! Playing in a band, rapping, dancing, <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>martial arts, Rubik’s cube, etc. – show off your<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>talent!
