If you are interested<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in auditioning, please see Mr. Rupnik in the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">band room for more information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>NORTHEAST MAJORETTES: <\/strong>Attention 6th and 7th graders interested in being a Northeast majorette. On May 24 and 25 from 6:00 to 8:00pm there will be a practice in the gym in preparation for tryouts. Tryouts will be on May 26 from 6:00 to 8:00pm in the main gym. Please contact Mrs. Ruhf at jaruhf@basdschools.org and Miss. Garza at lgarza@basdschools.org if you are interested.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SUMMER CAMP:\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sign up for Summer Camp! That&#8217;s right, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Northeast wants you to get OFF your devices <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and come to the Hornet Explorers Summer <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Camp! Camp will be held right here at <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Northeast for two sessions in July. Please be ready for the auditions!<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACTIVITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CHORUS<\/strong>: Chorus members who are not taking the Keystones&#8230;please report to the chorus room for practice during Hornet block. Thank you!<\/li>\n<li><strong>DANCE, STEP &amp; WORLD PERCUSSION: <\/strong>-Dance team and step team, we have practice after school today! See you soon! Everyone must be there. -World Percussion Ensemble, practice Thursday after school! Mandatory practice!<\/li>\n<li><b>HOMEWORK CLUB<\/b>: The last two days of 8th grade homework club will be on May 19 and May 20. If you would like to attend the last two 8th grade homework club sessions, please come to Mrs. Papagni\u2019s room in B305..<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><b>THOUGHT OF THE DAY<\/b>: Have you ever wondered if you are special? Well, wonder no more. Listen to these words from Pablo Casals, a Spanish composer and cellist:<br \/>\n<em>The child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn&#8217;t been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like him. <\/em>I&#8217;d say that makes you pretty special, wouldn&#8217;t you? Today, take a moment to think about the fact that you are the only you that ever was or will be. Nobody will ever look exactly like you or think exactly like you or be exactly like you. YOU are unrepeatable. Just being who you are is pretty awesome!<\/p>\n<p><b>LUNCH:<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Do you bring your lunch from home? If you do, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">you can add a fruit, veggie and milk for free!!!<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">That&#8217;s right! You can jazz up your lunch in the<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">cafeteria with a fruit, veggie and milk for free <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">if you bring your lunch from home. Bon<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">appetit!!<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SAFE:<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It&#8217;s SAFE to Tell. The SAFE Team exists <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">to help students with problems in a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">confidential manner to help remove any and all <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">barriers to education. You can refer <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">your friends or yourself. It&#8217;s now safer and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">easier to tell: just fill out the SAFE to Tell <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">form which you can find ONLINE in your <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">guidance counselor&#8217;s resources folder. Don&#8217;t<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">worry, &#8220;It&#8217;s Safe To Tell.&#8221; Thanks for being<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">AWESOME!<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>D<\/b><b>ISMISSAL<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students please note that you are not<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">permitted to remain in the building after <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">dismissal unless you are involved in an activity. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you are waiting for a friend please<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">wait outside the building.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>WATER FOUNTAINS<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Water fountains are only to be used to fill up <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">water bottles and not to be used for getting <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">drinks.
