The cafeteria will open at\u00a0 7:40am. Mr. Anderko and Mr.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Katynski will greet you at the patio\u00a0 doorway.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>STUDENT LEADERSHIP<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Are you a leader? Do you like helping\u00a0 your school and community? Do you like sharing ideas and speaking up in front of your peers? Then student\u00a0 leadership is the place for you. Student leadership will be held every Day 5 during hornet block. We are\u00a0 looking for ONE representative from\u00a0 each homeroom. Homeroom teachers,\u00a0 please email Mrs. Derrington the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">name of the student participating.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Listen to the announcements for the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">date and location of our first<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">meeting!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>ACTIVITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS:<\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you love to sing and would like to\u00a0 audition for Boys Group, Girls Group,\u00a0 and NE Singers, please stop by and see\u00a0 Mrs. Parker for an audition. If you\u00a0 have any questions, please see Mrs.\u00a0 Parker ASAP. The dates for auditions\u00a0 will be Tuesday, September 14th\u00a0 through Friday, September 17th, from\u00a0 3:15 until 4:30. All students who\u00a0 audition must be a member of the\u00a0 chorus. These groups meet after\u00a0 school for rehearsals. Need <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">details? Talk with Mrs. Parker in the\u00a0 chorus room!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>ARCHERY<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:<\/span> Attention Archers! Archery club will \u00a0be starting soon! There will be a general interest meeting on Tuesday, \u00a09\/14 after school in Mr. Detwiler\u2019s room &#8211; A309. Returning archers from\u00a0 past years can save their spot. All new archers will be on a lottery basis.<\/li>\n<li><b>BAND &amp; ORCHESTRA<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is an announcement from Mr. Rupnik, our band and orchestra\u00a0 director and instrumental music teacher here at Northeast. Did you used to play a musical instrument but had to stop due to Covid? Would like to start back up? Maybe you never played an instrument, but would like to start. Have you transferred from another school, and you already play an instrument? If this sounds like you, don&#8217;t wait another minute! Please either ask your homeroom teacher to email me your name, or email me\u00a0 yourself at brupnik@basdschools.org.\u00a0 I would really like to meet you and\u00a0 get you to be a part of the band and\u00a0 orchestra program here at Northeast! <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Being a part of the band and\u00a0 orchestra gives you so many <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">opportunities, and allows you to make\u00a0 new friends. I hope to hear from you!!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>CHORUS<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">NE Students: are you interested in\u00a0 being a member of this year&#8217;s chorus? If so, please email Mrs.\u00a0 Parker at <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">dparker@basdschools.org <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">or tell your HR teacher to send your\u00a0 name to Mrs. Parker. The chorus meets during day 1 and day 4 during\u00a0 Hornet Block. The only after school\u00a0 commitment is the winter and spring\u00a0 concerts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>D<\/b><b>EBATE CLUB<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Debate Club is back! This is your\u00a0 opportunity to express your opinions\u00a0 and point-of-view on real-world and real-life issues. After school in Room 213, we will meet on Tuesday to research the day&#8217;s topic and then debate our findings! See Ms. Anderson in A213 for a permission slip. First meeting is on September 21st.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>FANTASY FOOTBALL CLUB<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: Do you love Football AND want to learn more about playing fantasy\u00a0 football? The Northeast Fantasy Football Club will have their draft on\u00a0 Wednesday. If you are interested in\u00a0 participating, contact Mr. Wenner in room A310 for a permission slip. Compete for the Northeast Crown!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>YANA CLUB<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">YANA is a new club this year just for<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">6th graders. YANA stands for <em>You Are <\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><em>Not Alone.<\/em> The transition to middle<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">school can be difficult. A213 is the<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">place to be after school on <\/span>Thursdays. Gather with others to discuss concerns, do crafts, and play\u00a0 games is what YANA will do. See Ms. Anderson in A213 for a permission slip. YANA club&#8217;s first meeting is on Thursday, September 23rd.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ATHLETICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>FIELD HOCKEY<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: Our first home game is this Friday against South Mountain.
