This is the Sunday Shout-Out for October 10th. Please be on the lookout for mid-quarter progress reports that will be mailed home. Please contact us if you do not receive one.<\/p>\n<p>This week on Friday the 15<sup>th<\/sup>, we will have our Proud-a-thon. It&#8217;s an opportunity for us to celebrate the children returning to school with some activities and enjoying our attempts to get back to normal. Thank you to the families that have donated. Donations are still being accepted.<\/p>\n<p>An important part of returning to normal school is making sure everybody is on time in the morning. Our school day begins at 8:05am.\u00a0 Students arriving late will have to enter through the Student Services Office.<\/p>\n<p>It is important that we continue to wear masks every day to school and wear them properly. New guidelines allow students who are wearing masks appropriately to stay in school and avoid missing days due to quarantine.<\/p>\n<p>Our school policy is that cell phones should be turned off and away during the school day. Ideally cell phones will be left in the lockers or in the student&#8217;s backpack. Parents, please help us by refraining from calling or texting your child during the school day.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the schedule for our athletic events for the week:<\/p>\n<p>Tues 10\/12 \u2013 Girls Volleyball @ Trexler 4PM<\/p>\n<p>Field Hockey vs Nitschmann @ Home 4PM<\/p>\n<p>Thurs 10\/14 \u2013 Girls Volleyball vs Eyer @ Home 4PM<\/p>\n<p>Cross Country @ Freedom High School 4PM<\/p>\n<p>Fri 10\/15 \u2013 Girls Volleyball vs Easton @ Home 4PM<\/p>\n<p>Field Hockey vs Orefield @ Home 4PM<\/p>\n<p>Sat 10\/16 \u2013 Football @ Parkland 9AM<\/p>\n<p>Catch our NEMS band at the Nazareth parade on Saturday at 1PM and our PTO Fundraiser ends on October 14<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Thank you and enjoy the rest of your Sunday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good afternoon Hornet Nation.
