Volunteers will meet at the Boys &amp; Girls Club of Bethlehem. If you are interested in volunteering please scan the QR code on one posters around the school or you can see Mrs. Bush or Student Leadership for more information.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>LIBERTY MAJORETTE TRYOUTS: <\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Liberty Grenadier Band will be holding majorette auditions on Tuesday, May 10th at 3:30pm at Liberty High School. Things will run\u00a0 the same as past years. Candidates should:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Prepare a routine that showcases their skills. The routine should be at least 32 counts, but not more than 48. It is preferred that candidates perform to music. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is preferred that they demonstrate their mark time during part of their routine. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Candidates will also be taught a 32 count routine on the day. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Candidates should dress comfortably and wear appropriate footwear for an audition. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is not necessary for report cards to be brought to auditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT&#8217;S SO COOL ABOUT MANUFACTURING CONTEST: <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Let\u2019s give a big congratulations to the Northeast What\u2019s So Cool About Manufacturing Team for winning the Outstanding Creativity Award last night at the WSCM Awards Ceremony! Miss Rinaldi&#8217;s 7th grade homework club has ended.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>WEIGHTLIFTING CLUB<\/strong> will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15 to 4:15pm. The program will run for 4 weeks. The goal is to instruct students on the different exercises, proper form, and function associated with each muscle group. Please see Mr. Tom if interested.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ATHLETICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SOCCER:<\/strong> The Northeast Soccer Team did\u00a0 something that hasn&#8217;t been done in\u00a0 almost 15 years on Monday this week.\u00a0 Monday the soccer team traveled to\u00a0 East Hills to battle them on their turf.\u00a0 It was a tough first half. Angelique\u00a0 Carvalho was amazing in the goal. She\u00a0 dove and made many saves. We scored\u00a0 first with Mazzi Paulus&#8217; corner kick.\u00a0 Finn Brown was able to pass it to\u00a0 Issac Garcia for 1 to zero goal.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the Mustangs did fight\u00a0 back and scored on a deflection and\u00a0 hard shot. At half time the Hornets\u00a0 were down 1 to 2. However, the awesome defense was able to hold\u00a0 down the fort in the second half.\u00a0 Northeast battled back and tied the\u00a0 game with a pass from Emmi Teran to\u00a0 Deklan McCane. With about 11 minutes\u00a0 left, Mikyel Finley had an assist for\u00a0 Finn Brown&#8217;s goal. The last 11 minutes\u00a0 felt like an hour, but the Hornets\u00a0 were able to win against our Arch\u00a0 Rivals East Hills with a score 3 to 2.\u00a0 The JV team kept it close in the\u00a0 second game. It was tied at half time,\u00a0 but East Hills JV team scored two\u00a0 goals. Congrats to the Northeast\u00a0 Soccer Team. This Friday they travel\u00a0 to Nitschmann to play against those\u00a0 Lions!
