Hello Hornet Nation.<\/p>\n

Welcome to the 2026-27 school year. \u00a0We are very excited to welcome new and returning students for a great year! \u00a0The\u00a0first day of school is Monday, August 24<\/strong>. \u00a06th Graders will begin at 8:05am<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a07th and 8th graders will have a three hour delay and begin at 11:05am<\/strong>. \u00a0Students will be dismissed at 3:05pm.<\/p>\n

Please make sure your child is well rested, gets to school on time and arrives prepared with a charged Chromebook, notebook and pencil\/pen daily. \u00a0Suggested supply lists were included with the opening of school letter. \u00a0Every student was issued a locker and all personal items should be kept in lockers during the school day. \u00a0If you need anything, please contact us.<\/p>\n

Attendance is very important in the academic success of your child. \u00a0Please take the time to read the attendance information flier. \u00a0Breakfast is free for students and begins at 7:40am. \u00a0All students will be provided a school ID on the first day of school that should be worn daily. \u00a0The ID has a QR code for students to scan at the kiosk if they arrive late to school for any reason. The ID is also used for lunch. Please make sure your child keeps the ID in a safe place at home and brings it to school daily. \u00a0 If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Ure\u00f1a.<\/p>\n

New to drop off procedures only, parents may drop off students in the bus channel in a single line formation. \u00a0All other drop off\/pick up procedures will remain the same and can be found in the\u00a0<\/strong>NEMS Family Handbook 2026 2027.docx<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0back to school review portal<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in ParentVue is now open. \u00a0Please take the time to review your child\u2019s information on file and make any necessary updates. \u00a0You can view your child\u2019s academic progress at any time through ParentVue. \u00a0New this year is\u00a0Parent Square<\/strong>\u00a0for communication with parents. \u00a0Use the QR code to download the application and use this link to\u00a0get started with parent square<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Students have a\u00a0half day on Friday, August 28<\/strong>\u00a0and will be dismissed at 11:30am.<\/p>\n
